Mambo Seafood- Lackland

This place is shady and gross. We got sat as a party of 12. The service started off okay. Then we got our food, the food is flavorless and overcooked. There was a long hair in my fish tacos, they took the meal off my bill but they charged gratuity. Not knowing they put the gratuity, I tipped on top of it. It wasn't until the other member in my party asked what is the service charge on his bill. The waitress said she does not know what it is, he asked if it was gratuity and she said no. She started acting like she could not understand what he was asking. He said it's fine it seems like you already have your tip on the bill I won't add another tip on top of your tip. I had to leave as we were in a hurry but how shady is that, to me that is super dishonest and I felt as if they stole from me.

First time there.... didn't like the shrimp they were med small wasn't fried good... the margarita was good.... waitress was polite but slow we were her only table.... I won't go back or refer

We ordered $20 plates and the portions were small. We had to get full off of crackers. The rice was greasy and salty. Not going back.

My cook did not want to be here today. I think this is my lowest rating mambo location. That's not to say the food was bad. It was ok. It might be better on a busier night, but on a Tuesday night, I would not be back. The fries on one of the platters were reheated chewy and hard. The shrimp on another platter looked super small like cocktail fried shrimp. And both of our caldos had pretty much veggies and two little pieces of fish and a couple of shrimp. My waitress was nice, though.

The fish and shrimp is good.
I just don't care for the rice,
The rice is like Chinese rice.
Sea food and Chinese rice is not a good combination for me.
I would prefer yellow rice.

Was referred to come try this location, food was good, location was nice and with plenty of seating. Service was not the greatest but at the end, John the Mgr took care of us and apologized in great detail. Server needs a bit work but john saved the day. Oysters here are really good and we're displayed nicely .

Waitress came by once when we were almost.. fish was overcooked and dry..shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Veggies were barely cooked carrots were hard as rocks...fries were amazing best thing the whole meal

When I first came here, it was to pick up an order for the Mas Especial rice, if you like fried rice with a little kick, then this is the rice for you! It was so delicious! I came back and decided to try their fried fish and shrimp and I was not disappointment. There was a hint of lemon in the batter. It taste so good! The manager Tania and server Alondra are the best! They go above and beyond service and I will definitely come back!!
