Holy gelato! Mama dulce is connected to Ray's pizzeria and offers an amazing selection of gelato. Also serving cakes and cupcakes. They even offer a pint option to take home on the go. If in the medical center this is a perfect stop in for a treat.

Tasty gelato with flavorful, fresh waffle cones. I appreciated the strength of the flavors here - there was a distinct nutty flavor to the pistachio ice cream and a freshness in the banana ice cream that usually become softened in ice cream form. I went with the purple yam flavor and was pleased by the creaminess. Note: parking can be tough - we parked across the street in a bank parking lot (definitely not kosher with lots of towing signs but we were there after business hours)

I placed a rushed order on a tiramisu cake for a friend's birthday, and it was amazing! The cake was $48 and cut into 12 large sizes. Each slice could've been shared between two people. I asked my husband to share with me, but he took two bites and said he wanted his own slice! The tiramisu wasn't overly sweet, and the texture of the cake was perfectly creamy. They were on time when I came to pick up the cake, and it was an easy check out. The only thing I'd caution is that it's a little confusing to find this place. The sign of Mamma Dolce isn't found on the store front, and it's not found on google maps. The only way you can find it is if you enter the address on google maps. I'd definitely want to come back here to try their other desserts! It seems they are generous with their portions and have reasonable prices. It's also attached to a pizza place, so it'd be great place to hit dinner and dessert in one place!

Their gelato is so soft and fresh filled with tons of rich savory flavor! I definitely recommend their tiramisu and their hazelnut flavor! Its all super creamy, light, soft and fluffy! The only thing that wasn't great was that sometimes the service takes some time because they can get busy, but it is definitely worth the wait!

The first time I came in here I only admired the sweets from afar. The gelato looked enticing, and they even had a handy sheet explaining the difference between ice cream and gelato. One stressful night, I decided I needed something sweet so I came over and got the last slice of red velvet cake of the night. It was very good! Picture perfect, the right amount of sweetness in the cream cheese frosting, and a dense cake heavy enough to keep my sweet tooth quiet for days. I'd like to try the tiramisu, but that will have to be another time. Oh, and most importantly, the sweet man behind the register made me feel very welcomed. Outstanding customer service.

I was craving gelato and I made the best choice to go to Mamma Dolce. The owner was super sweet and loving. I ended up getting the hazelnut, tiramisu, and coconut. What I loved most about it was the inside of the gelato. All 3 had mini condiments inside. The hazelnut had mini chocolate candy and chocolate shavings, coconut has coconut shavings, and the tiramisu felt like cocoa. Next time we're coming back for the pizza.

Treat yourself. The sign inside says it best. I am so glad we decided to stop into Mamma Dolce's today. I tried the banana dulce de leche and tiramisu gelato in a waffle cone and all I can say is, "YUM!" My boyfriend had a black cherry gelato shake, which was great as well. Perfect texture, taste was out of this world, and the service was great for only having one person behind the counter. The inside is old timey and cute. We return every now and again for a little treat.
Great place to eat. Their breakfast tacos are really good. Place is very clean and so are their restrooms. Wait staff is friendly and make you feel right at home. I will definitely return.

A little hidden gem in the medical center! It's tucked away in a small shopping strip complex off of Fredericksburg, but it is so worth walking in and grabbing a cone of gelato, especially in this Texas heat. They have your classic gelato flavors, but they also take the liberty to make some interesting ones - one that I noticed was Ube! They also serve some homemade Italian desserts, but my main focus was on the gelato (if you can't tell, I love ice cream/gelato). I think I got one of their peanut butter flavors (I can't remember, it's been a while since I went), the flavor was there, but what I loved more was the texture of the ice cream. It's nice and creamy, as you expect for any great gelato, and they did a nice job of balancing the flavors in the gelato. You walk in and immediately feel comforted at the sight of the wonderful gelato and desserts in front of you. I definitely will need to come back and try more flavors, but so far, I'm definitely a fan.
