Maria's was the 5th spot we tried on our search for best breakfast tacos in SA. The bacon, egg, potato and cheese was really good especially with that hot sauce and its spicy kick. The bean and cheese, while also good wasn't as flavorful as beans I've had elsewhere. The carne guisada and cheese was the best taco for sure. It's a bit of nitpicking, but the meat wasn't quite as tender as compared to other spots and the tortillas overall were on the chewy side. That being said, I really enjoyed this spot and would definitely return for more breakfast tacos as well as to try all the other options on their menu. 4.2 out of 5

Had never heard of this place. Wanted to try something new in the area and hit a gold mine. Great people , great service and im born and raised in San Antonio. Been eating tacos all around San Antonio, I can honestly say these are the best tacos I've had. Will definitely be coming back!

What a classic! I go there to meet friends & acquaintances. Great Freshly made food & Cafe. IF your lucky you'll get greeted by Big Tom - Maria's hubby. I had Brisket personally smoked by Big Tom with my Huevos Rancheros. Leslie's always there to keep your coffee cup full. Maria will make sure you'll be coming back by getting your meal personalized just the way you want it. Daily Specials make it hard not to. Been going there since 2003 - AWESOME place w AWESOME food. Love their annual smoked Turkey in November with music & brewskis ala Big Tom! ESO!

A hole in the wall eatery with a very welcoming staff, and amazing food. I take everyone that visits here. Their breakfast tacos are next level. Parking is a headache at times but the food is definitely worth it!
