My husband and I were both unhappy with our choices. I ordered the club sandwich that was packed with turkey that had an odd texture and absolutely no flavor. I ended up taking it all out and eating the bread and bacon. My husband’s pastrami was also flavorless. Where do you get flavorless meat?? Very weird experience.

6 of us had our Christmas get together here today. Everyone was most accommodating, as is always the case, from the woman at the front desk, the host who got things set up for us, our server, Koy, who really went above & beyond and other staff who helped him. We've had several outings here and always enjoy ourselves.

Took forever to answer the phone so we can order. A bit over priced for quantity
Update 2025: the food was a bit of today, will go back for a 2nd attempt

Had the most amazing breakfast here this morning, paired with an amazing and funny server named Sarah! She was attentive and kept the whole table laughing. Thank you Sarah for making our morning! We will be back! :)

They wouldn’t let us serve our own cake in the restaurant for my mom’s bday. Waiter stated it was against the state law. Obviously false information but also they didn’t tell us and even stored it for us before telling us.
Meat loaf was mediocre. The macaroni was good. Our cake had to wait until we got home.

It's honestly so mid. I have lived in Texas my whole life and have never understood what people mean when they say American food has no flavor but this is probably what they are talking about. If spices overwhelm you then you will probably enjoy this. Everything tastes like they turned down the saturation. The vibes are great, the staff is nice, the restaurant is clean- but the food is very very boring.

Max & Louie’s New York Diner in northern San Antonio really captures that classic East Coast diner vibe. Their menu is huge, which made it tough to decide, but everything sounded amazing. I ended up going with the L.E.O. Scramble – smoked salmon lox with onions, served with my choice of fries or hashbrowns and a side of toast. It looked simple, but the flavor was spot on—rich, savory, and satisfying. To drink, I tried one of their Dr. Brown’s 1869 sodas imported from Brooklyn. I had the cream soda, and it was just right—not overly sweet, but really smooth and nostalgic. My boyfriend ordered the Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage, which almost looked like a hearty meatloaf. It came with mashed potatoes on the side, making it a very comforting, home-style dish. One of the things I loved most is that they serve breakfast all day, so you can enjoy classics like the L.E.O. or other diner favorites anytime. Max & Louie’s is the kind of spot where you can find something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for a classic breakfast, New York–style deli fare, or comforting plates you don’t see everywhere.

Sticker Shock! Been to this venue multiple times and have always been pleased with service and food. Today was first time returning after a few months. Pricing has definitely gone up. $23 for for chopped steak and instant mashed potatoes.!?! Most sandwiches are $20+ not including sides. I’m out!

Philly cheese steak sandwiches had very little meat & bell peppers but lots of bread . Also we ordered a bowl of split pea soup. Terrible no flavor at all like they opened cans of peas and put them in the blender. $14 for that so called soup. And our waitress really didn't care about our food much less getting us tea & water refills..

Our Philly cheese steak sandwichs had so much bread very scarce on meat & cheese & bell peppers. Also the BOWL of spilt pea soup had no flavor at all, none at all. Our waitress never offered refills on tea or water just blaa.
