Bland underwhelming food in a beautiful location. My pork chop was way over cooked the puffy tacos are overly greasy. Everything screams boring texmex with a hefty price tag. But I get it... rent is so high in the heart of Alamo Heights. All in all, I would not return here. You could go down the street to Soluna (Just to give one example). Same price tag, WAY better food. These restaurants don't seem to understand the concept of competition.I'm scared to post this because I know I'll get a kindly worded reply from the owner for this review. They'll pretend they don't hate me for giving them 3 stars, and I'll pretend that the fact that they have a 4.5 overall score on Google maps is actually relevant.

I don’t know why I rely on other people’s reviews. We tried this restaurant based on the good reviews. Big mistake! My wife had fajitas and they were the toughest fajitas she has ever eaten. I had tacos with asada meat, which is usually tender. Not this time. Tough as shoe leather.

Nestled within a bustling shopping complex near Alamo Heights Methodist Church, this gem of a restaurant offers convenient parking and an inviting atmosphere. The decor is tastefully simple, creating a comfortable ambiance that’s enhanced by the charming outdoor seating option. The culinary experience here is exceptional, with an array of mouthwatering dishes. The mini tacos, tortas, and puffy tacos come highly recommended, but rest assured, the menu is filled with other equally impressive selections.Chips and salsa are served with a variety of other sauces and tortilla soup, some of which are absolutely amazingService at this establishment is attentive and commendable, adding to the overall delightful dining experience. I had the pleasure of trying their Micheladas, which, without a doubt, rank among the best I’ve ever enjoyed.Despite its modest size, this restaurant is a standout destination that’s absolutely worth a visit.

The service was great and the food was so delicious that it had our group anticipating when we would be able to come back. I had the pastor mini tacos which were amazing and so full of flavor. Everyone loved all that they ordered. The menudo, pastor huaraches, charro beans, refried beans and rice and Oh the starter cup of fideo were all delicious. We also shared some warm mini churros which was served with ice cream and it was the perfect way to end our meal.

This place is a gem. When we got there they immediately brought us chips and red salsa, a cup of fideo and a plate of different salsas. The fideo was delicious, it was cold outside and the fideo was warm and yummy. The salsa was really fresh I finished the whole thing. I ordered coffee, the coffee was just okay. Then I had the barbacoa plate with corn tortillas, the barbacoa was very good. It was really juicy but it didn't have a bunch of fatties which personally is how I like it. It came with beans and breakfast potatoes which were also good. My boyfriend got the huevos divorciados with barbacoa. The salsa verde on those was very good, all the salsas tasted homemade and there was one for every spice level. Their limonada was also so good it tasted home-made. The portions were huge and the prices were moderate. Also our server was great! She told me they sell the barbacoa in family packs so I will definitely be going back for that ! Loved this place :)

My grandfather lives just around the corner from this cafe, so I've been coming for years - when it was something else and before that when it was something else... And I hope, hope, hope that Mexico Lindo is around to stay! HUGE menu. I've been maybe three or four times now (for breakfast and lunch), and there's something for everyone with lots of classic Tex-Mex and Mexican dishes. I'm partial to their migas plate (a classic), but I've also had tacos, huaraches, fideo, and probably more. The restaurant is brighter than it used to be (pink paint!), so it's a fun spot. The service is also exceptional - everyone is so nice, friendly, helpful... I could go on and on. If you're looking for a classic place for some Tex-Mex/Mexican breakfast or lunch, check out Mexico Lindo.

This was the first time i had gone. I was looking for an authentic Mexican food restaurant and i know myself when it comes to very great Mexican food,im very picky but this restaurant surprised me. The plate i ordered was chilaquiles rojos and let me tell you the cook did an outstanding delicious watering mouth tasting dish. I asked for chorizo on my side potatoes and OMG the taste in them was outstanding, simple but with so much delicious flavor. The coffee( de olla) so good. Plus that little fideo appetizer they serve you is so good too. All i can say is i was surprised how much depth flavor and delicious the food was. It's rare that i give reviews to a restaurant. This one hit my taste buds. Brought me memories of my grandmothers cooking. Definitely going back to taste more food. I applaud the cook or cooks for having such great hands for cooking and the service was great.
