Had a reservation and we were seated as soon as we arrived. Our waiter, José, was an absolute legend - he took our order, described every dish that came out, and always made sure we were comfortable. We went with the Norteño menu and were full before our entree even came out. You know the food is good when you get angry while eating it - the flavors were amazing...gave me that Ratatouille synesthesia moment. 10/10, currently my favorite restaurant in SA and competing for my top life decisions.
Loved the shared menu options. The evening was a birthday celebration and it didn't disappoint!
We came here for a date night and ordered the chef's choice for 2. The ceviche was delicious - fresh, bright, and savory - they said they add in fermented tomatoes for that savory kick. Second course was the beans, guacamole, tortilla, and queso. Everything was great except for the queso, it was the kind that gets rubbery when cold. The main meal was the bistec. The flavor was good but we felt like it wasn't cooked long enough - the fatty parts were too chewy. Dessert was tres leches cake - light and delicious. Overall I think the meal was worth the price. Service was a little slow too.
We ordered guacamole, tuna tostada and agua chile with snapper. The tostada was so good that we ordered a second one. Excelent food!!!
Valentine. Fixed price meal Food was tasty, portions with steak entree too small, one dish for four people, Had to split a dessert. Drink menu needed better description than just ingredients. Service was very good.
This is at the Pearl. We made a reservation for 2pm due to it being Valentines Day. We did show up 10 min early and were seated with no problems. There was a couple behind us while we were being seated. After 10 min we noticed the couple behind us was seated and already had drinks. We haven't even see the waiter at this point. After being seated for 20 min we finally met the waiter and ordered our drinks. 15 min later still no drinks. We finally ordered and drinks finally came. 20 min later food came and it was cold. My wife ordered the tuna with the chili oil and it was very bitter. This was not a good experience and we won't be back nor will we recommend.
jose was absolutely amazing! he made me and my guests so comfortable and welcomed, truly an outstanding experience.
AMAZING!!! Wow what a great experience overall. Incredible food and outstanding quality as well. Can get very crowded on weekends, be patient!!! Great bar service as well!!!
Excellent Sonoran food - especially the carnes and the quesadillas. And the mezcal list? Chef's kiss.
This was our second time eating at Mezquite, and we didn't enjoy it near as much this time around. For starters our table wasn't ready when we got there, and we had to wait about 10-15 minutes, which was fine as we were waiting for our friends to join us. But once we sat down it took at least 30 minutes just to get drinks, and then after that service was also generally slow. I think that our waiter just had too many tables. The restaurant was really busy. The food was generally excellent, except for my swordfish, which way too salty and badly overcooked. The space is very nice, but the high ceilings and hard surfaces, plus loud music, make it so loud that it's difficult to hear yourself or anyone else talk. All in all, although we liked the food, we will not be going back.

We went to Mezcaleria for Restaurant Week and overall really enjoyed the food. We decided to order from the standard menu over the more limited restaurant week menu so we could have the nachos over the standard guac. All in all the food was great. Came out at different times so we didn't just have everything up front, and though the bar area was a little crowded and loud, I feel like that's just what that area is supposed to be. We like to enjoy our dinner dates so for the two of us, I spent $136.00 (before tip) for the appetizer, two entrees, four drinks and one dessert. We would definitely go back.
I came here for a Friday afternoon lunch and overall had an okay experience, though I've enjoyed previous visits more. Parking was easy with their designated lot, and the restaurant itself has a really nice, relaxing atmosphere with beautiful plants and soft Spanish music playing in the background. There was a bit of initial confusion at the host stand and with ordering from the restaurant week menu, but I was eventually able to order without issue. The guacamole appetizer arrived quickly and was very fresh, served with warm tortillas. I ordered the carne asada tacos, which came on homemade tortillas with onions, cilantro, and sauces on the side. The meat was cooked well, though slightly salty for my taste. The limonada was a highlight and had a great balance of sweet and tart. For dessert, I had the tres leches cake. The cake itself was good, but the icing tasted sour and I wasn't able to finish it. Overall, it was a decent lunch with some highlights, but not as strong as my previous experiences here.
The food was fantastic! The quality was unmatched in The Pearl District. Pay the $55 per person for the curated meal. You will not regret it! The ambiance is very nice. The lighting is perfect, the noise level made it easy to have a conversation and the tables are well spread out, so you don't hear every conversation going on around you. The service was good, not great. As a person that worked in hospitality for 20 years, specifically food and beverage, there were a few things I would have liked to see, but I will still be going back. Firstly, after a course is served, our share plates and silverware were not replaced. Having messy plates and silveware between courses is not optimal. Especially, at a Michelin rated restaurant. Secondly, and this would be my biggest recommend change, we were served our desert with only one of us sitting at the table. My spouse had got to to use the restroom, and the dessert was brought out before she got back. This didn't change the fact that the Tres Leches was the best I've ever had! Offering a drink before dessert, like coffee or espresso would have been nice as well, but that's ok. Overall, if I was rating on food alone, 10/10! I'm sorry about the small issues (which are only noticed because I was in food and beverage for so long), so I would say 8/10 for the whole experience. We will definitely be back!
If you dine during lunch, you're limited to the Mezcaleria menu, this is supposed to be Mezquite's “Cantina”, but should really be listed as a separate restaurant. Different dining spice, different menu, different vibe.
How we all thought the food was delicious, the food was extremely spicy this was fron the Brunch menu, not sure if that region of Mexico caters to having Spicy foods. I did ask waiter after, if all the food has this same level of heat his response was Yes. 50/50 for dinner if Spiciness is same.
