The Zapata margaritas were good. The queso flameado was tasty. The beef and cheese enchiladas were good. Loved it loved it loved it.

We wish we bought more conchas. There was a line outside the cafe that moved fast and it was worth it! The food was fresh and we wish we brought more home.

The best traditional Mexican restaurant in Texas! It’s been years since we ate there and we weren’t disappointed. Our server , Eduardo G. Was excellent and accommodated special requests with grace. It was a joy watching this historic business in action. And the food was delicious, and fresh!

Such a lovely family style restaurant. Went with family on the recommendation of a very dear friend. Such a great choice all sorts of delicious breakfast items and oh my goodness those pastries …definitely made it easy to take a bite of San Antonio back home with us.

Colorful, wildly popular restaurant and bakery. Management was incredible on accommodating myself and my service dog The lines to get in are down the street. The waitress was incredibly friendly and kind. It could have been a difficult experience but the superior staff made it wonderful

I have been visiting San Antonio from Austin for about 50 years and have almost always eaten at Ti Tierra. Early on, I parked on the street separating it from the market across from it. When the street was removed, I parked in the small lot behind the restaurant. Returning yesterday, my GPS couldn't direct me to the restaurant because of all of the blocked roads, and what is now a one way-street prevented from reaching the small parking lot. I paid $10 for the privilege of parking in the Goodwill lot and was not in a cheerful mood when we walked to the restaurant. While my son and I were waiting in the bar for our table we received draft Mexican beer in frozen schooners and the restaurant began to transform itself into the Mi Tierra of old. I ordered the standard Mexican plate and son got the poblano pepper plate. The service was excellent and the ambience of the colorful restaurant was better than ever.

I have been here a few times but it has been over 10 years. We had a long wait, longer than they said. When we got seated, it looks like they didn't have the staff needed to run the restaurant. The food also was not like it use to be. I was disappointed.

Best service, food and atmosphere in San Antonio. An iconic family business that is a must go to place for locals and tourists. Visit the market and bakery. You can’t go wrong at Mi Tierra.

Mi Tierra never disappoints. Food is always fresh and good. Service is always attentive and prompt. The bakery in front is fantastic as well. We live almost 2 hours away but whenever we are in town we make this one of our musts.

Great food, atmosphere and the bakery is absolutely delicious. Eclectic decor and beautiful murals in the restaurant the Mariachi Bar is right across from the bakery is beautifully decorated and would be perfect for any formal affair.

A native from San Antonio told us this was the place to eat the best Mexican food. The food was good and it was a fun atmosphere, but I don't know that it was the best Mexican food ever. The mariachi band was fun, but I could see where other people would be frustrated because they were loud and they asked if you wanted a song and then told you it was $10 after you said yes. It felt very much like a factory. They were very interested in getting you in, feeding you, and getting you out so the next group could come in. The bakery looked good, but the line was so long we didn't get anything. It was a fun experience, but i don't think I will go back.

Located in market square, this restaurant was absolutely charming. Delicious salsa, guac and mojitos. For lunch we ordered tamales and chicken tacos. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Don't forget to take some pastries from the bakery before leaving. We also enjoyed the tres leches cake (enough for 2!)

This is a tourist trap. The decorations are beautiful and draw you in. Then you get a menu with prices and offerings rivaling mid-high quality authentic Mexican restaurants. However, once you order, you have been played. The food they serve you is worse than school cafeteria food. Honestly! I work at a school! The low quality can be seen and tasted. It’s garbage! I am not that picky or critical, but this is garbage! I actually feel angry that I was duped! My family would have been far more satisfied eating at Taco Bell and I would have saved sooo much money. Don’t fall for this trap and stop allowing this practice to succeed. Why the good reviews? On google reviews someone mentioned that their critical review was taken down! Take a look at the $10 nachos. Like 8 chips covered in canned, thick, dried out, refined beans and cheddar cheese. What a rip-off! My taco meat was nasty. Not even sure it was meat. Just low quality all around. Disappointed does not go far enough. I am angry.

A tradition, to visit this place of my youth. You go for the vibe not necessarily the comida if you know what I mean. Drunk or Sober this place brings back fantastic memories.

Outstanding food in the cafe as well as the bakery. Employees were very gracious and recommended outstanding dishes when I couldn't decide. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable and the little plaques on the walls telling the history of the family and the cafe are great to read if you're like me - a history buff or if you're waiting to be seated. I couldn't recommend a better place to eat and it was a bonus - though not for my waist, that it was open 24 hours.
