Mixtli restaurant delivered one of the best culinary experiences of my life. The menu, La Vecindad, is inspired by urban life in Mexico City. The flavors and dishes felt so familiar to me, like a distant memory. Highly recommend you visit and include the wine pairing. Can’t wait to return and try their next menu! Don’t forget to try out Mixtli Bar next door for a unique and fun drink.
I have visited several times, and each experience has featured a distinct and thoughtfully curated menu. The food, and the meticulous attention to detail in the foundation of each original dish, creates a sensory journey to different regions of Mexico. The flavors are bold, authentic, and refined—a true expression of culinary artistry.
Tasting menus can be hit or miss, just because taste is so subjective. But I found I atleast enjoyed every dish, and absolutely loved more than half of them. My family has dietary restrictions and they accommodated them very well. It felt like a lot of thought went into everything. I do think it'd be nice if their pamphlet had some of the info they gave about the origins of the dishes.
