First of all very loud and echoey. Chips and salsa came quickly. Red sauce was just too hot without flavor. Green sauce just had no flavor. We both ordered taco al carbon with beef. Very ordinary . Really no flavor. Refried beans were kind of watery. Rice was dry and crunchy. We should have kept driving and gone to El Charro T in Brenham. We will not go back.
Looked great online, but when I got there today it said closed as of 10/11/21. Disappointed to see that it was closed but there are plenty of other places around
We stopped in for a quick bite and had a few appetizers. Food was good and service fine, place was clean, nothing special
We were there during Fiesta week so they were very busy but they gave us the option of sitting at the bar. Great idea! We were seated and taken care of by the nicest bartenders around! Of course the huge Margarita helped...LOL. Food was huge (I was reminded that everything is bigger in Texas). Tasty and for being so busy, service was great!
After waiting and absurd amount of time at a nearby restaurant, we decided to try Maria Mia’s due to the proximity to the Marriott Rivercenter. We came in and were seated immediately. The staff took our order and after a short delay we received our chips and salsa. They were a little slow, but understandable with a party of roughly 20 seated next to us. I had the beef tacos and the shredded chicken tacos and they were very good. The refried beans and rice were good, not dried or old. Good experience, good staff and good food. Definitely recommend!
The food was just okay, and the area around our table was dirty. The waiter seemed like he had better thing do. We kind of gave up after ordering appetizers and went elsewhere.
I used to love this place. But last two times there, the outdoor patio was filthy! Trash on floor, with service workers standing around and minimally cleaning just the table tops, chairs filthy as well. Power washing weekly is highly recommended. I don’t believe we will return.
This was near the end of the San Antonio riverwalk It is facing the river with outdoor dining on the patio. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere Service was quick The chips and salsa were fresh The margaritas were huge and delicious I had a chicken quesadilla which was also huge and delicious The prices were reasonable for waterfront dining in a popular city area. I would say it was a good choice for dining along the river walk
Best Mexican on the Riverwalk!
Better service! Worst service ever!

We had dinner on a Saturday, prices seem to be a little steep (compared to the other options along the riverwalk).
Our group was in San Antonio at a conference and seventeen of us descended like a horde of locusts upon this restaurant. Our waitress, Alexis, handled the obnoxious crowd with a skill usually only found in diplomats of the first rank. She managed to get all of our orders correct in a very timely manner, during a pandemic no less, and it was all delicious.
Food quality and Presentation was cheap and sad considering the reviews. The drinks were the only ok thing. We ordered the two crispy taco plate and I expected restaurant made fried corn tortillas but got cold factory made taco shells, like the kind you get in a box at the grocery store. The flavors were bland (maybe that’s what most of their customers want?). The queso was an embarrassment to the state of Texas it was so pathetic. We spent $80 on lunch and we would have received darn near the same quality at Taco Bell for about $10.
One of my favorite restaurants downtown. It has great drinks and the best Mexican food you will find anywhere in San Antonio. The chips and salsa with a frozen Margarita on the outside patio watching tourists and the river boats is a great time.
The service, the food, the drinks, all were just the best. I enjoyed the band walking around playing and the mexican bread pudding desert is off the charts, a must have.
