So glad we finally made it here. The food was superb and the service was great. We all ordered different entrees. Smothered pork chops, fried chops, baked chicken and meatloaf were all very good. The sides were great too. We will definitely be coming back.

For the most part we loved the staff, the food was an 8 out of 10 on most of the dishes. We were a family of 8 and we tried everything. The Kool aid was a little too sweet for us. Overall, we enjoyed and we will return.

The best fried chicken in town. The sides were great, and the meatloaf was out of this world. First class service. Across town from me, but completely worth the drive.

Man, that baked chicken...so good!! It literally fell off the bone. It was by far was the star of the show, but the cabbage and candied yams were damn good too. I will definitely be back. Credit to the chef!!

This is undeniably the best soul food restaurant in the 210. The fried chicken is seasoned to perfection with a blend of herbs and spices that creates an explosion of flavors in every bite. The Mac and cheese and yams are cooked fresh daily, giving them a homemade taste that's unmatched by any other establishment. And let's not forget about the corn bread; it perfectly complements all the savory dishes on their menu.

We went here when they first opened and I wasn't very impressed. They had several good reviews but I don't really care for cafeteria type restaurants. I thought it was a buffet because it said all you can eat. It was very confusing because it's not. My husband said his pork chop was good but I had gotten the fried catfish which was cold. They had just brought out new catfish and put the old on top and that's what I ended up with. So we haven't been back and most likely won't be any time soon.

As a Louisiana transplant to Texas, I love Southern style food. Mrs Kitchens' food is absolutely fantastic. Reminds me of home. And the staff are very inviting and friendly. If you want good "Soul food " you can't beat it.

This place was aweful . The prices were high . The food looked disgusting. They want 20.00 dollars for four vegetables . $4.95 for each side . I didn’t eat . My friend did but only a littler. She got pork chops . Said they were tough . A woman hovered over our table wanting a tip . You had to wait in your self . We didn’t leave one . I would never go back . Looked really dirty

Over charged... Food is not good for the price, overseasoned way to salty and how to pace an order very unorganized. But the table I sat at while waiting for my order was clean..the 1 star

24 Mar 2024 It's a bit confusing as to what you do when you enter. We sat down and then an employee told us to get in line. Oh, OK. It's kind of like a Luby's, grab a tray, tell the server which entree you'd like, then your two sides and a pice of cornbread. The price is about $16.99. We were given a 10% senior discount. Your drink is extra. Tea is $2.89, not bad. We had meatloaf, pork ribs, macaroni and cheese, white rice with gravy and collard greens. All is very good. The meatloaf is simple. I think the seasoning is just salt and pepper. You are offered the same gravy used on the rice. I took it. The ribs were very meaty and fall off the bone good. The cornbread is muffin-like. The tea is sweet. They also have sodas, lemonade and kool-aid. It is the same menu all the time. No 'lunch specials'. They do a big Door Dash business. Very few people eat-in like we and a couple of others did. A server checks on you periodically, refills your drinks. This is a place worthy of your visit. Go there.

The fried and the baked chicken were both crazy yummy! Great crust on the fried and the baked was spiced well and was falling off the bone! The Mac & cheese was ok, a little under seasoned but the greens and the green beans were money! We will definitely be going back...and this place is literally around the corner from my house!
