I’ve been here 3 times dine in and to go and each time was terrible. They didn’t have several menu items, messed up an order more than once, terrible service, not informative or attentive. Last time I had enough brought back the food and asked for a refund. The person who gave me a refund didn’t do it right and I never got it back. When I went back to tell them and was trying to show them the mistake that was made, a guy probably a manager, got irate with me even though I was never rude or irate to them. I’ve worked in restaurants for more than 15 years so I’m no stranger to this. And the way he handled it was absurd. I obviously had given them grace by going back and never being rude to them, I get it restaurants make mistakes, but never again will I step foot in this place.

So I am giving this 5 star for the food and the employees. We love this place

I want to give a 1 star to the parking lot. I understand the business is in a small area, so maybe y'all shouldn't be hosting car meets. You have kids parked in the handicap spots and the unloading zone next to it. That is illegal and is for the people who need it!

You will love the ribeye bits served with garlic butter noodles, goyza, and fried or steamed rice! The hint of Wok is off the chain! Love yourself and try something different!

We’ve been coming here as a family since it opened. And tonight ,the food was amazing, the service was disappointing. We order a sushi combo , another sushi, a plate of fried rice with steak & gyoza . By the time my husband came with take out I wanted it some eel sauce for the 4 rolls of sushi that we were going to eat as a family. I go back and tall girl with glasses tell me is a 0.81 cent fee, so I go back to my car get the money when going to pay she is with attitude, she comes back with my halfway filled eel sauce, again with a demeanor not wanting to serve , I asked can you fill it a little more, she states that’s the max, with a hostile and unfriendly look in her face. I understand if if you have policies of not filling a sauce cup that I’m paying as well after spending $60, but there ways of saying stuff, and treating customers. It was definitely a bad customer experience, It doesn’t take much to be kind because you never know what someone is going through.

We've been fans since their old spot. Since then we've been back at their new location at least 3x. Came back again after 3 years and service and ordering has changed. To set the scene we were the only customers and table there. Food was dropped off and no one came back to see if everything was okay or even offer a water refill. We ate all our food without ever getting a refill at all. I work in the industry as well so I was very confused as to how it runs now. It gave off wingstop vibes for how the service was conducted. Weird part is the girl said she would be able to refill our water but never did so idk if were expected to go up and ask? Either way we will be back to try it again, food is great, but definitely can't recommend you tip especially when they ask for $$ up front withoutout having earned their tip yet. I keep cash on me for this reason and there was no service to tip.

The exterior of the establishment suggests a fun and energetic atmosphere, but the interior falls short. During my visit, I was the only customer, and no one greeted me. The employee provided curt instructions, directing me to order and scan the menu at the counter, which felt impersonal. Although I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen and katsudon, the food was unremarkable and did not meet my expectations. In conclusion, my experience was disappointing, and I do not intend to revisit.

Been going here since like 2017 when it was a hole in a wall. Food quality has dipped immensely. I used to compare every place to Nama, I used to absolutely rave this place to everyone I knew. Around 2019 or so I had a questionable experience over social media with I presume is the owner. He was sly about a posting I made over 93 octane gas being expensive, and comparing my complaint over gas to how I used to tip. Mind you I’d tip 5-10$ on $30 tabs. Which is technically 20%. Being a server in Texas is quite a shitty gig, I get that but one day I asked a male server how he gets paid and he said it was indeed only tips. Insane. Following that, I got blocked after getting dissed. Mind you I was like 19yrs old making frequent trips to your place when I made like $10 an hour, get over yourself. Obviously, the service has changed to that of a fast food restaurant like McDonalds, or so I’ve heard.
During covid, still even after getting dissed I STILL supported Nama during those difficult times for everyone because it was good enough. Quality and menu updates during those difficult times were understandable. Because quite frankly, Nama WAS the best you could find in San Antonio. But it never went back to what it once was.

The last time I had anything was the Kaarage bowl. Unfortunately, the chicken was super rubbery and the broth was bland.

I hope one day Nama can rise to the top again like it once was.
