Good food and good service. Located in a great area with a good vibe and good setting. I sat at the bar and the bartender was a attentive and provided great service. I ordered the Branzino and it was very good. Drinks were good also.

LOCATION: North Italia is located in a fantastic part of the Rim at 1604 and IH-10. It's right behind a beautiful hang out spot with turf, chairs, tables, and an ice cream shop called Lick. Also, North Italia is within walking distance to Rock and Rye, Bowl and Barrel, and the Palladium move theater. FOOD: My fiancé and I usually start with bread, her preferring the grilled bread with olive oil and I the truffle garlic bread. Both are good, but come with only 4 pieces so you'll need multiple orders for bigger parties OR if you're a bit hungry. We love to get the Margherita pizza and the chicken pesto pasta (pictured). For the pizza, Margherita is pretty basic, but here, the cheese, sauce, and crust is all perfect. I'm huge on the crust, and it totally hits the spot. Just enough herbs, garlic etc. as well as a perfect texture in my eyes. I also adore the crushed meatball ragú, although since we don't eat pork, I substitute the porchetta with another meatball! Many Italian places serve very similar food, but North Italia incorporates unique spices and dishes into their menu to stand out. DRINKS: The wine selection is nice here. We've enjoyed the Valravn Pinot Noir and the Edna Valley Chardonnay. I'm a bit more into cocktails, and most I've had are great. I especially enjoy the white lotus which is right up my alley, being a mix of sweet and citrusy. SERVICE: Been here many times and am always satisfied with service. Nice people there, and 95% of the time, we never wait very long for service even if the whole place is busy (pretty big building).

The saltiest food I've ever had. I never send food back but this chef had a heavy hand. I spoke with the manager and even he noticed the chef added much too much salt.

Being married to an Italian, I can appreciate both Northern and Southern/Sicilian dishes. North Italia satisfied the Italian crave this Easter however was a disappointment with how the restaurant was managed. We arrived to be fair warned that our booth would be dripping water from above due to the condensation from the a/c unit. Would not have been a big deal however the restaurant had obvious table availability to be moved. Which we did. We placed our full order indicating separate appetizers, salad, entrees and dessert to only be skipped on the appetizers and entrees were brought out first. Moderately annoyed at this point, we asked if they purposely happen to do things backwards. The random server who dropped off the dishes rudely replied, “I have no idea. I didn’t take the order.” Then walked away. We proceeded to eat and a few minutes later, a guy named Milton came with the appetizer and salads. I told him we were already eating our entree and those were ordered to come out before. He said that there was a miscommunication with the server and the kitchen and then rudely and sarcastically said “I can take them back.” Later I find out he (Milton) was a manager.I have never met a restaurant manager with such ill and inexperienced customer service skills with NO common courtesy. We received kinder treatment and explanation from our young waitress Cierra and then having another female manager on duty address the matter at the end and acknowledged what happened. When that is all that was needed…. Professionalism and kindness. All in all, food is great if you’re looking for an in-house made pasta cooked perfectly al dente. Request lighter on the sauce as its preparation can be a bit on the Texas saucy side.

Very, very long wait to get food after ordered. Waitress had no idea what happened to my appetizer. When food finally arrived, pasta was undercooked and hard. I am very disappointed for my first time coming to this restaurant. Will not go back and will definitely not recommend it to anyone.

I made a reservation here for two, as the greeter was taking us to a table, the manager (big guy with a beard) comes out of no where and made the greeter place me and my spouse at a table all the way at the back of the restaurant (no one seated around us).I couldn’t help but notice all the white couples were then being placed at the booth and in the front of the restaurant. While us (the only colored folks) told to sit in the back. It became obvious the manager had some sort of prejudice against us and made this decision. Super disappointing and racist. This experience has made think twice about eating out at restaurants. Also the food was extremely salty.

Horrible place to eat. The food quality is lower than Applebee’s. The service here was worse than Burger King. Manager is an idiot, can’t manage a restaurant and seems like the root cause of failure here. Walking in you can feel the disorganized atmosphere. Calamari was overcooked and over dipped with batter. It tasted like chewing tires, the batter was thick like a corndog. This place is anything but Italian.

Arrived at 4:30pm and asked for a party of 11 and gave them the birthday cake for them to hold in their fridge. Hostess mentioned the wait time would be within 2-3hours. Waited and waited and saw a lot of people being seated right away. We went to ask the hostess a few times how much longer for our table. They were really rude and disrespectful about it. Skinny girl with weird lips kept laughing while we would ask. I was told as soon as tables open up they would seat us. The hours went by and by the time we realized, we had been waiting for 5hours and decided to ask for our cake back so we can take our service elsewhere. Once we asked for our cake, magically our table was ready. We declined and ended up at Aldo’s Italian Restaurant, they took us in right away! I will never be going back to this place. They were so rude!

The food and atmosphere are great, unlike Eric Horejsi. Disrespecting people who have passed is not right. Please learn common sense and do better.
