My carne guisada was cold, which was disappointing. The tortillas were quite thin, and I only had two types of meat in my carne guisada. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I'm staying next to the convention center and I'm really glad I tried to find a good Mexican place away from the river walk. Way cheaper and better tasting than the Mexican by the river. Got the enchilada plate and a carne asada taco. Both were phenomenal. The enchilada sauce was something else. I'm here for a few more days and I'll be coming back here for lunch daily.

This is such a lovely little restaurant! It's small, cozy, and the food and service are great! Fresh Homemade Flour Tortillas, that's all I have to say. 😋

I've been here only two times since I've been in here San Antonio and the food always taste the same something I could look past how bad it is but the service is also bad. I warn you, don't show up with backpacks! Apparently the homeless in the area gave it a bad reputation even the owners kick you out.

Legit. Great find in downtown SA. Checked all the boxes for a good SA breakfast taco place…homemade tortillas, green salsa, refried beans that were not bland, no crowd with no wait on Father’s Day. Ordered bean and cheese, bacon and egg, bean and chorizo, and barbacoa tacos. Tacos were good sized and I was stuffed after all that. Pancakes were huge, and chorizo and egg plate was plentiful. We definitely found a gem. Worth trying again for sure!

They keep it cool inside. It doesn't stink inside either as you would think being next to CAM. These are the BEST traditional San Anto tacos in the downtown area at regular price!!! (not tourist downtown prices 👎🏽) I suggest you definitely try their Carne Guisada 🤌🏽 or Chilaquiles with bacon taco 🤤

Atmosphere is cozy. It's an house converted to a restaurant. Feels great and food is home made like mom used to make. Great little gem in downtown!
We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning and left feeling better than when we came in, ready to take on the day. The building is small and the door a little sloped, not wheelchair accessible (requiring a few steps), but the atmosphere was festive and extremely welcoming. The food didn't knock our socks off, but we did enjoy what we had and only tried a couple items. We definitely intend to come back for more.
As we were leaving, a couple was bringing in bags of clothing and said that the owner distributes clothes for the homeless. As strange as it may be to say it, that remark felt perfectly natural based on our experience eating here.
Service was great and the food was great will be going back again
Loved it
Puffy taco, cheese enchilada, and chicken tamale, with rice and beans. Takes a while because they cook it for you and it comes out hot! So delicious and inexpensive! A hidden gem! Get off the riverwalk and eat a yummy authentic Mexican meal.
