Came here looking for a good spot to end the night with dinner while family was visiting for the weekend. Réservations- seamless and prompt seating to a requested table outside. We wanted to people watch and enjoy the scenery of the river. The staff accommodated with no problems. Drinks- small and expensive. I now it's the river walk but wasn't unpressed at all by the price, size and taste of drinks. Food - I've been there a few times at various locations and honestly it's not my favorite spot in the city but it was a good option for family. I ordered the house salad and sampler for 2. Thé salad was okay. The creamy red wine vinaigrette was was tasty to me but the salad was fresh. The sampler was like warm and we were too hot and hungry to care too send it back. The artichoke balls were dense, and lacked flavor. I had no crunch or crispness with not of the 3 items. You large calamari was a good size but again breading not flavored, it was luke warm, and soft vs giving me a fresh fried crunch. The 2 shrimp peasano is a part of their signature dish but the only thing that wa great was the size of the shrimp. You did get what you pay for in regards to size, but their signature dish is not a favored of mine. I nibbled as a snack but 90% of the plate wasn't touched. The artichoke really needs a light airy crispness. Hubby had the pizza and he eats a whole pizza. He ate 3 slices and was done. No wow favor at all with the margarita pizza. My family ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and salad and the split size of this was huge. I do recommend splitting the pasta if you are looking to save a few bucks. I'd say the only think great was the view but there are plenty of top notch Italian spots around the city. Is only come back to entertain family. I totally missed pics as nothing was impressive.

Rude rude rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My child had to use the restroom and they were setting up cutlery. I asked if my 3 year old could use the restroom really quick and was told by the young host that we couldn't use the restroom because they hadn't opened yet. They were opening within the 1/2 hour. My 3 year old!!! We ate at the riverwalk, but didn't even bat an eye to this place. Screw you and your horrible service. Not letting a kid pee what is wrong with you guys?

If I was writing only about the Shrimp Paesano--five stars! The bread with dipping oil, and wine--same. However, my husband's Ahi Tuna and our Mozzarella salad were not fantastic. Our waiter was a joy and table out of the fray, for easy conversation.

Dropped by Paesanos for dinner with coworkers after visiting the Riverwalk. Thankfully, the dining space is large, so the wait was short to get us into the A/C space and out of the hot, muggy weather! We started with the cheesy garlic bread. I ordered a Cesar salad to start with the chicken Parmesan and my coworkers ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. My meal was good but I would have preferred more spices in the sauce but the chicken was good. The favorite part of the meal for me was actually the salad & garlic bread. Lori provided great service with our food and refills throughout.

First time spending some time in San Antonio down on the River Walk. I was a bit surprised by the lack of restaurant with good reviews, so we decided to more or less check out some based on cravings over anything. For this night we wanted some Italian food and quite a few had no spots available for walk in or reservations. It's was a holiday weekend. We decided to come down here and there was zero regret! The service was nice, slow but great staff. I can't blame speed as it was extremely busy. I got the seafood pasta that was exceptional. It came with half a lobster tail and it was cooked perfectly! The scallops were moist and juicy too. We got the two person sample as well. Surprisingly I was not a fan of the artichoke balls but I have to admit that the calamari on the plate was about the best I have ever had!! We got the Ziti too and my husband was amazed. It was not just traditionally ground pork but more of a sausage tone to it. We took food back to the hotel room for the kids. The kids fettuccine was over loaded! They did not skimp on the portion at all. The kids spaghetti was also devoured however my son did say the meatball tasted like a frozen one reheated. Possibly a strange takeaway but needs to be stated....their house salad could have been the best with dinner salad I have had in my life. Overall, for sure worth a recommendation and stop! I have to recommend ending dessert with their brûlée as it was exceptional!

Get the Shrimp Paesano, you won't regret it! Service was kind of odd - our waiter checked on us pretty much just in passing as he was doing other things. It wasn't a huge deal but I probably would have gotten another glass of wine had he stopped to ask.

We really enjoyed the food and being able to sit along the Riverwalk. The staff was attentive and I had one of the best things I've eaten...the salad with vanilla vinaigrette was absolutely delicious. I'd definitely come again when in town just for that salad. :) The prices weren't bad and the entrees were sharable. We left food behind although we shared a meal. The ordered the spaghetti with meatballs which were tasty, and very moist.

I understand weekends are extremely busy on Saturday nights (especially on the Riverwalk), but this experience was absolutely THE WORST I have ever had at ANY restaurant on the Riverwalk (and I am from San Antonio so let's just say I have tried them all). Our initial wait for a table was minimal, which seemed hopeful. But, once we sat down, we had to wait for almost half an hour just to get our drinks and bread. It then took an hour and a half to get our food. SERIOUSLY. We almost walked out. Our server was clearly busy. HOWEVER, we did notice that he 'disappeared' for chunks at a time only to clumsily make up excuses. I will only go to Paesanos in Lincoln Heights from now on!

Best place my wife and I ate all weekend. In town for a conference and this was a home run. Our waiter was great, quick service, his recommendations were excellent. Wife got the lobster ravioli and I ordered the Shrimp Paesano. Lots of large chains on the Riverwalk, pass those by and hit up this place.

The food was bland and maybe one step up from Olive Garden. It was recommended with high praise and unfortunately I can't agree. I ordered the Frutti di Mare (seafood over fettuccine with clam sauce) the seafood was tasty and was ok, the pasta very bland even with the sauce. The Giant Calamari was good. The service was excellent although they were short staffed. I went for a work event, probably won't try it again on my own.

First time in San Antonio and learned of Paesanos from an online reservation website. Before getting in town, reached out to the GM and explained we were in town for the first time and wanted meal to be special. Aaron didn't disappoint. He saved a table right along the river for us. Ordered a glass of McManis Family Cabernet Sauvignon. Our server brought bread and olive oil with cheese. We ordered the Bruschetta Crostini to start. It was very good, especially the fresh cheese! Wife had the Primavera with grilled chicken and I had the stuffed shells. Thank you to Aaron for the cannoli! The atmosphere is great and the food is very good! I would definitely recommend Paesanos!

The bruschetta appetizer was flavorful with a hint of sultry sweetness in every bite which comes from the basil. The crispiness of the bread was toasted to a delicate deliciousness. As for service Jonathon stone was engaging wished us a happy Easter and was attentive to us. His welcoming disposition added to the splendor of the experience

Beautiful outside dining right in the heart of San Antonio Riverwalk. Always a s***** for good Italian I just couldn't pass this place by and I'm really glad I didn't! Our server was excellent in his suggestion of the Pork Osso Buco, it was so flavorful and tender, also had plenty for a late night snack! Great ambiance and just enough off the walkway to enjoy dinner but such a fun place to people watch. Husband tried a more traditional dish of meatballs but gone to quickly for a picture or maybe I was to busy enjoying the meal. Great place for a special date night yet casual enough to just walk in.
