Absolutely unacceptable service at this location. The young, tall male employee with curly hair was rude to the guest prior to serving me and then continued the same rude behavior with me. He didn’t wash his hands, was constantly itching his body and then was in the prep area and later was touching the ready products. He dumped spices packets right on the pizza inside the box, instead of inserting it carefully on the side of the boxes. The music was pounding when I couldn’t even hear myself while placing an order and the place was dirty. Very unwelcoming and unsanitary. One of the pizzas was raw on one side. The toppings were not spread nicely and I barely got any even paid for extra.

Papa John’s never misses. Always a great pizza from here.

Okay... THIS pizza is ON POINT! Papa John's always been the best chain but always been more expensive. They decided to compete now. They have some killer deals.. I went with the Shaq a Roni (XL NY crust with double pepperoni and double cheese for 12.99) Definitely a great dinner...

2 pizzas delivered. Pizza 52.47? Tax $4.33 and a $9.40 tip. We ordered 2 pizzas, since when are 2 pizzas $26 a pie. Spent $66.20. Will not ever get Papa Johns again.

Papa John’s used to be so good. I don’t know what happened. Service was absolutely lackluster and the food was just bad like I don’t know if the ingredients expired, but it was very disappointing because I was so excited for this pizza that I haven’t had in a while.

Lost my order somehow and the Manager refused to help!

I have given this place many chances. The service just keep declining each time I have gone. The last 2 times were the final touch. If you walk in to order it definitely going to be a minimum of 30 wait time. The last time I went was on a week day. They had about 3 customers in the store waiting. I walk in, no one says a word. 10 mins later he tells me he will be with me as shortly. 30 min mark he comes to the counter and tells me it will be AT LEAST A 30MIN WAIT!!!! WOW, JUST WOW!!! When my order was given to me I did not look in the box.. (MY FAULT)... I get half way home and open the box to discover the crust was a mess it had not risen at all on my pizza cups. I will not be going back to say the least. It's sad 😞

I’ll start with, Papa John’s is my favorite big chain pizza. This location is definitely the exception. I don’t know if they use a different dough or prepare it differently, but both times if ordered here the pizza was flat and tasteless. No rise, no fluffy crust. Just toppings on top of pita bread.

This review is for the Papa John's outside 1604 at Bandera in the Helotes area.

The pizza itself is good. I have always enjoyed the flavor of Papa John's pizza.

The service, however, needs work. I have ordered several times from this particular store and have found that quality control is lacking.

I order square cut every time. More often than not, the pizza is cut triangular. Or, it is cut triangular, then the person realizes it was supposed to be square cut, so I end up with some pretty interesting shapes. It doesn't affect the taste of the pizza, so I am not complaining too hard about this, but it does illustrate the trend of a lack of attention to detail.

My real complaint pertains to the pic I am attaching. The cheese sticks were a complete failure. First, they were supposed to be cheese STICKS, not squares. Its like someone thought I was going to stick toothpicks in them and serve them to my guests as hors d'oeuvres. And apparently this person thought half of said guests were lactose intolerant.

What really gets me is that someone saw this, cut it up, and thought everything was cool.

Management....your crew needs to do better.

Two stars instead of one because this was one of the few times the pizza was cut correctly.

Very delicious although they should add a little more staff because orders take a while due to the lack of staff and that is why many people prefer to eat in other faster places

Terrible service. My pizza 'got lost,' and they couldn't do anything to help me find it—not even offer a refund. I waited an hour and a half for a pizza that was supposed to arrive in 30 minutes. Definitely wouldn't recommend ordering from here.

I ordered delivery and the person who delivered my order took too long. His name was Roberto. He didn’t even hand it to me. He just left it outside without ringing the doorbell or even knocking. And when we opened the box there was a bug that got in the box and the way they put the toppings on the pizza wasn’t even that great. They weren’t evenly distributed on the pizza.
