Wonderful made from scratch food, such friendly staff and a great, cozy atmosphere. So glad we found this gem of a restaurant. We all had something different as well as a few different desserts and everything was top notch. Can't wait to go back!

Hands down the best Italian food I have ever eaten!!! Loved the homemade pasta and the garlic bread was delicious. The Italian sodas were amazing. I will definitely be coming back next time I visit San Antonio . Also the customer service was top notch.

Got the Gamelli al Pesto. The chicken was SUPER bland and had a slight rubbery texture. The sauce and flavors were there but the chicken ruined the dish for me.
I was honest with the chef when he came to the table to ask how everything came out. However, he didn't appreciate the constructive criticism and was offended by my remark instead.
The lemonade is over priced and kind of flavorless. The server hyped it up big time but it was nowhere near worth their price tag.
We really wanted to love this place. It's a very cute atmosphere with great service and perfect for a date night. Unfortunately, the food missed the mark for us. Just my .02

Had the tomato bisque and fettuccine Alfredo, everything was fresh and delicious and you get a lot of food for the price. Service was prompt and friendly. Glad we have a place this good nearby!

We like to consider ourselves “Italian Food Snobs”. My husband lived in Italy for a couple years and we eat Italian food regularly.
We were visiting the area on vacation and felt like some Italian food. Pazzo Pastaria was so charming and delicious. Our server was very accommodating to me and my husband and four children. The food was flavorful and portions were generous.
If we lived in the area we would definitely be back again. Give it a try!

Came here to dinner tonight for the first time and let me say this. Hands down the BEST Italian spot I’ve ever been too. From the handcrafted iced tea, to the homemade pasta. Everything was a hit! Our waiter Adonte was amazing, knowledgeable, and attentive. We WILL be back.

We are visiting from Oregon and I Googled 'Italian restaurants near me'. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our dining experience was. Such a darling place! The service was impeccable, and our appetizers and meals were fantastic. What a gem! Thank you. 🤩

The food was absolutely delicious, the environment was definitely more suited for a date night as opposed to a family dinner but it was capable of seating a larger group or two,

An Unforgettable Italian Experience at Pazzo Pastaria
From the moment we walked into Pazzo Pastaria, we were swept away by the warm, quaint atmosphere—and the experience only got better from there. Every bite was a celebration of authentic Italian craftsmanship. The pasta, made in-house with high-quality semolina flour, was perfection—silky, tender, and full of character. Each dish was clearly prepared with love, using only the freshest ingredients and plated with artistry that made the meal feel like a true occasion. I orderd the Chicken Picatta and my husband had the Penne Alroustica. Both dishes were delicious and bursting with flavor. I wish I had taken pictures to post with my review.
And then there was Shelby—what a gem! She was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, and her timing and attentiveness made us feel cared for without ever being rushed. Her hospitality elevated the whole evening and made it truly memorable.
If you’re craving real Italian food with soul and want to be treated like family, Passa Pastaria is the place. Ask for Shelby—you’ll be glad you did.
Grazie mille for an unforgettable night—we’ll be back soon!

Absolutely love this place! Most authentic pasta in all of San Antonio! One of my friends is from France and has been to Italy a lot and when she tried this place, said it taste like it does in Italy. I’ve been here several times and every time everyone has loved what they’ve ordered. This is the only place I go to for pasta now. The service is on par and the owners are active in the restaurant and very nice people! I don’t have a picture of the cappuccino, but I normally get it when I go there and their coffee is amazing also. I do recommend making a reservation if you plan on visiting on the weekend or any evening. They book up quickly.

A Hidden Italian Gem – Absolutely Worth the Hype!
My wife and I had Pazzo Pastaria on our radar after several friends highly recommended it, and tonight we were finally ready to give it a try. Unfortunately, reservations were fully booked. We almost went elsewhere, but decided to call—and to our surprise, they were able to squeeze us in for a later seating. That small gesture set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible dining experience.
From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The restaurant, while being located in an older strip center, was charming and very clean, the ambiance warm and inviting, and the lighting was just right for a cozy dinner. We were greeted and seated by Kati, who also served as our waitress—and she was absolutely phenomenal. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, Kati made us feel right at home and gave some excellent recommendations.
We started with a crustini appetizer that was one of the chef’s featured specials for the evening, and it did not disappoint. Everything—even the bread service—is made from scratch and you can truly taste the difference. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Alfredo with added spinach and mushrooms and loved every bite. I went with the Fusilli Gorgonzola with chicken, and it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
From start to finish, our experience at Pazzo Pastaria was exceptional. This place is truly a diamond in the rough. If you're debating whether or not to go—don’t hesitate. You’ll be glad you did. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
