Pazzo Pastaria

(05/30/25) Eight of us met for dinner at the Pazzo Pastaria and were immediately greeted and seated by the very pleasant co-owner, Ginny. The ambiance is simple, cozy and (thank you), not noisy. The wait staff is excellent (shout out to Katie!); the menu is well organized and offers several out-of-the-ordinary Italian dishes. Don't fill up on the tasty breads and olive oil dip, because the food is delicious and the portions are generous. For a weekend meal, consider making reservations because the restaurant fills quickly. We were pleased with our dinner selections and no one left hungry! The overall experience was so good, we agreed the Pazzo Pastaria would be our new favorite restaurant. PS. My best friend was craving Italian, so I hopped on Yelp to find a new spot—and I’m so glad I did. We came across this place and were absolutely blown away by the entire experience. From the warm greeting at the door to the attentive service, everything was top notch. And the food? Nothing short of incredible. Every bite was a reminder of why I love Italian cuisine. This place has officially become my new favorite. Just a heads-up: if you’re planning to come on the weekend, definitely make a reservation—it gets busy, and for good reason!

I had the opportunity to dine here at the beginning of March. I had been invited by one of my friends and he hyped it up pretty heavily. That hype was...shall we say, Understated? This place is a phenomenon. Ingredients in food don't have a soul. You bring that love and soul as the cook. Food is an emotional experience for me, and you can taste the love and passion Chef Sean Archer brings to every dish. From the scratch made pastas, sauces, bread, and desserts to the exceptional service and attention to detail, it was a 5-Star Experience and one of the best meals I've ever had...and as a classically French-trained Chef, I have had quite a few...but not many such as this. I got choked up expressing my gratitude in speaking with Sean. It was something I had been missing...the passion for what we do truly reflected in the food and service. After trying way too many "highly rated" Italian restaurants and being disappointed I started to lose hope. I thought I would NEVER find a place this incredible in the greater San Antonio area. Sure enough Pazzo Pastaria is the real deal. Every single bite was as delectable as the last. Management is amazing. She kept checking in on us. A++ for service, food, and atmosphere. I will be back for as long as it's open.

We’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got to stop in. We were greeted and seated with the most friendly and welcoming staff. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate. But the food…oh, the food will blow you away! From scratch, delicious from start to finish. The homemade bread, oil, pasta, churros, everything was amazing! Our family’s new favorite Italian diner. 👌

After reading the reviews I made a reservation to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my wife and they met the reviews expectations! The pasta is made from scratch everyday and is very delicious! Great customer service from when you walk in till you walk out! Will definitely be visiting again for special occasions! You have to try their CHOCOLATE MOUSSE!!!

It was okay. Was exited to try here because of the reviews but it was not our favorite in terms of food flavors. Of course, food flavor is subjective and unique to each person. Excellent service though.

As a Google reviewer, I recently visited Pazzo Pastaria for the first time, and overall, it was a good experience. The food was very fresh and delicious. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and full of flavor. The service was also commendable; the staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed.

The only downside was the atmosphere. It was quite dark inside, and the table we were seated at was very small, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Despite the ambiance, I was not disappointed. The fresh food and good service contributed to a pleasant dining experience. I would recommend giving Pazzo Pastaria a try.

Me and my wife came here because of the high ratings! It’s worth it and way above a 4.9

This is a must go to for Italian. Service and food were top notch. Our waitress Caiti was superior!! We drove 20 minutes to try this place and we will definitely do it again!!
