Traveling and read mixed reviews. Cool place. Amazing bartender, friendly and had a great memory. This was 6pm and it was busy. Next time my first stop in San Antonio.

About 3 weeks ago I show up with my friend, we don’t talk to anyone and go straight to the bar to get a drink. Not even 8 minutes in and I get told by security that I have to leave because an employee complained about me. I explain that is imposible, I haven’t interacted with anyone but she couldn’t give me an explanation since she is just following orders so we left ……
My friend that works there asked his Mng Mike who said apparently some guy was rude to the friend of the owner & somehow an employee told another employee who told a 3rd employee and he confused the rude guy with me. I have txt messages saying it was all a mistake and I’m welcomed back …
After 3 weeks i decided to give it a shot again last night and 5minutes in I’m told im not welcomed, I explained that I have messages saying I am and that i was confused with someone else but no one cared to pay attention. In my case it’s so easy to solve this confusion because all they had to do was ask the employee “is this him?” And he would confirm I was rude to no one ….
It’s not about going inside this bar to me, it’s about doing the right thing and I really dislike to get accused of something I did not do. There are lots of clubs/bars in SA so it’s not about the entrance no more but it’s about how I got treated when I had done nothing….
My major is in communications, I am educated, I worked in Tv/Radio, was on a TV show, interviewed Bad Bunny, Ect … and I only mentioned this to show that my people skills are developed, I try to bring positivity to the community, and I literally get invited to talk against bullying in schools so I am never rude to anyone. Maybe it’s just me wanting others to comunícate like the way I do, clear the confusion, because rude/bully is the one thing I am not and anyone that knows me personally will agree.
I will probably never get an apology and it’s ok because I won’t ever try to go back, but I recommend employees listen to their customers because maybe like in my case, they have the wrong guy and they will continue to lose money.

The bartenders inside the first bar as you come in are so rude and catty ugh ! I would not recommend anyone come here. I remember it was a really nice place to go a while back, but now it's horrible!! it has a very uptight atmosphere. I would recommend Knockout bar!! The staff there is very friendly and welcoming!

Great service great place to go and not have to worry about anything that's happening or been happening great music as well will always choose Pegasus over any other lgbtqia+ bars
I decided to give Pegasus another try and I'll rescind my previous review...a little. While I can't discount my previous experiences, on a not so busy night the single bartender is doing a nice job of covering everyone and meet customers in a friendly way. This is what a neighborhood bar is supposed to be.

Pegasus maybe one of the oldest LBGTQ clubs but it is definitely not a safe place to be. They have no problem violating ADA and civil rights laws of access and spew unfiltered hate at anyone they pick as their target. It didn’t use to be this way but it has gone downhill in all ways that matter in the last few years and the only reason they’re able to smokescreen everything is fine is due to the many drag artist who bring in the crowds. It’s a sad thing to see when there is already so much being thrown at the community by bigots in the legislature of Texas.

Pegasus used to be a safe place to go, now they have no issue violating ADA law and civil rights. Denying access to someone who has repeatedly been there because they decided they didn’t want to ‘deal with’ service dogs. I will miss supporting the community and the amazing drag performers more frequently but not at a place that doesn’t care for community in any sense of the word.

So be prepared to spend alot of money on the Karaoke dj Toby. The only way to be able to not be skipped or ignored is to pay. Don't tip him in his jar that doesn't matter he will skip you anyways. Been going a long time for karaoke won't sing with him again. Make sure Aubry is there. She is 100% better. He is trash. You know who I am Toby, it's Josh.
