The woman that cleans the table are provides the bread at table forgot to provide water our dipping oil for the bread . Very busy atmosphere for the Valentin holiday. Waiter was helpful but needs to check more on his customers more often. But I enjoyed the great hospitality and food was great. See you next valentine days .

Food was delicious! A group of us ate at Pesto during restaurant week. A fixed menu! We had Salmon, Spaghetti & meat sauce & a Caesar salad & tossed green salad. Two types of dessert! Both were amazing. I know we will return. Oh they make a great martinis! 🩷

I don’t leave reviews often, but whenever I do, there’s typically a reason.

I went in as a party of two. Service was OK, if I had to give it on a scale of 1-10 I would probably give it a 5 on my day. Although, I never judge a restaurant by the service. That could have anything to do with an employee having a bad day or maybe they’re just tired. Not a big deal to me.

The reason for this review was the food. I thought maybe I got lucky and stopped by on a day that the restaurant was slow given the fairly good reviews. Or so I thought…….

As I began to eat, I couldn’t help but joking with my partner as to why the parking lot must’ve been empty. I mean this with the deepest sincerity….. The food was rough…. I’m not necessarily a lasagna guy or a food critic. But good god, I know for a fact when I wasted my money. I think back to that dinner to this day, and if I could go back, I wish I would’ve gotten Chef Boyardee from H-E-B. That’s how generic it tasted in my opinion. My partner on the other hand, got a mushroom chicken. If you want to even call it that. If I had to explain what it taste like for you to be able to get a sense of it. It would be as if you got a cream of mushroom Campbell’s soup from H-E-B poured out all of the cream of mushroom and refilled the can with water… then poured that onto the food. Like I said… rough!

Now, im a man, I reluctantly paid that bill. Roughly a $40 disappointment. I’m not gonna send food back to the kitchen just because it taste miserable. If that’s the best someone can do, I totally understand. No need to try twice.

The bar does look nice though.

Everything went well! Let’s me start with location, it is in one of the old nice areas of San Antonio, called Olmos Park, very neat.
Parking is not a problem and I love that.
We didn’t have a reservation and it was no problem, there were ya les available.
The staff is atto and they know very well their menu!
About the food, wow! It was terrific! From the bread to the main dish. I ordered Shrimp Alejandra and I was in love from the first bite, the shrimp has a light batter and it’s so crispy, the pasta has a pesto sauce that is to die for!
Wine selection is great as well!
Definitely Pesto is a little gem in the heart of Olmos Park.
My only observation is the bathroom, it could be better :)
