Absolutely delicious! Perfect portions and so much flavor. The table bread was amazing as we waited for our food and they had a wonderful wine selection. Our server was so kind and patient and gave me a good recommendation on the crab stuffed salmon pesto that was incredible! Highly recommend! Will be coming back!

The Caesar salad- the dressing was so fishy and pink. Way too many anchovies. Inedible. The pastas were good but overpriced for such a small portion. The dipping sauce for bread looked and tasted gross. Bread was good. Service was fine, place was clean. Restrooms were sketchy.

It was all really just good. Not surprisingly because I think that implies you expected it to not be good. But it was. Server was good. Food was good.

Don’t give this establishment 1 single dollar!
To start off, the wait for EVERYTHING was too long, even with a reservation that was made the day before and there were many empty tables. Throughout the evening, our server, Brandon, behaved as if we were insignificant.

The waiter poured a new, different wine into a glass still containing the precious wine 😳

We were told that they were out of several items of both food and drinks that were featured on the menu after we tried to order them. To add insult to injury, one of those items WAS ON OUR BILL!

The last guest at our table received his plate 20 minutes after the first guest got his, so it was cold by the time we all ate. To top it off, that last plate was incorrect. When we notified the waiter, he snatched the plate from the table and replace it without an apology, explanation or even an acknowledgement.
I could go on and on but you get the picture.
By the time we finished eating and settling the corrected bill we were anxious to leave after what should to be a celebratory meal. The following day we’re were still licking our wounds and discussing the disaster. They put quite a damper on a memorable evening but for all the wrong reasons.

Our family celebration at this restaurant was a profound disappointment. Expecting a memorable evening, we were met with chaos: no menus initially, a severely limited selection, and wine ruined when the server poured new into half-finished glasses. We waited two and a half hours for food, most of which arrived incorrect. Despite our polite inquiries, the staff offered no explanations, only excuses about being busy. A meager 10% discount did little to remedy the ordeal. Kindly, I suggest avoiding this place for a pleasant dining experience.

From the outset, everything went disastrously awry. I chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding with family, anticipating a delightful and memorable occasion. Instead, it was a memorably deplorable fiasco. The ordeal began with the absence of menus, a fact the server only noticed when attempting to take our orders. The menu and beverage selections were woefully limited, with only a handful of wines available. Several of us ordered wine, hoping to salvage some festivity. Mid-celebration, as family members requested additional glasses to toast our union, the waiter inexplicably poured new wine into glasses already containing different vintages, utterly ruining the experience.

The ineptitude continued as we endured an unconscionable two-and-a-half-hour wait for our meals. Repeated inquiries to both the server and manager about the delay were met with vague, unhelpful responses, devoid of any accountability. When the food finally arrived, most orders were incorrect, and several dishes were unacceptably cold. The server offered no apologies, only flimsy excuses about the restaurant’s busyness—after we had waited over two hours! In a futile attempt to rectify this egregious experience, we requested a meaningful discount from the manager. Their response? A paltry 10% reduction, an insult considering the ruined wine, absent food, and erroneous orders.

This was, without question, the most deplorable dining experience I have ever endured. I strongly advise avoiding this establishment if you value a competent and enjoyable meal.

Disheartening Experience During a Special Celebration

I recently visited Pesto to celebrate my sister's wedding with a small party of ten. Despite having a reservation, our experience was far from the celebratory atmosphere we anticipated.

Delayed Seating:
Upon arrival, we were informed that our table was not ready, resulting in a 20-minute wait past our reservation time, even though there were a multitude of empty tables. This initial delay set a disappointing tone for the evening.

Service Delays and Oversights:
Once seated, it took 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and we were not provided menus until we requested them. After finally receiving menus, it took another 10 minutes to place our drink orders. Our food orders were taken only after an additional 20-minute wait.

Extended Wait Times:
The most disconcerting aspect was the over 2.5-hour wait for our meals. During this time, staff interactions were minimal, with only a single instance of drink refills. The lack of communication and acknowledgment from the staff left us feeling neglected and undervalued.

Unavailable Menu Items:
Adding to our frustration, several alcoholic beverages listed on the menu were unavailable. This lack of transparency regarding menu offerings further diminished our dining experience.

Meal Service and Quality:
When the food arrived, it was served sporadically rather than simultaneously, and my order was incorrect. While the dishes were flavorful, the prolonged wait and disorganized service diminished our dining experience.

Management's Response:
Upon expressing our concerns, the staff attributed the delays to being short-staffed and managing another large party. While we understand unforeseen challenges can arise, it would have been more appropriate to inform us upon arrival or limit reservations to ensure quality service.

Final Thoughts:
This occasion was meant to be a joyous celebration, but the service shortcomings overshadowed our gathering. The evident disorganization, lack of effective communication, and unavailability of menu items were glaring. For future patrons seeking reliable service during special events, I would recommend considering alternative venues.

We had a first communion dinner with family. The service was awful. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was so elegant. The service brought down the mood of the dinner. No refills on drinks. The children did not get served their food until late in the dinner. Our Goddaughter whom the ceremony was for was served her food last and was last to eat. I'm sure if we go back or experience will be different but until then I can't honestly recommend this place over Paesanos in San Antonio.
