Not the most elegant place. Smells musty when you walk in. And be prepared to hold up a conversation with your dining guests. Cause you will have to wait for your meal. But, worth the wait

This has been one of the best neighborhood eateries for over 20 years! The service, the food and the portions are legit! I'm sorry to hear they closed up but thanks for over 20 years of food and service. I brought countless 1st-timers here and many continued to eat there regularly.

Horrible experience. Wouldn't answer the phone for a call in order. When I got there I was told it would be 15 mins. Took about 25 minutes and I think the cook left to get something from the somewhere else to complete my order because I saw him park up front and go around to the back of the restaurant then a few minutes later come out of the kitchen with my food. To top it off I saw ants all over the front register counter.

I have been wanting to try this place for years but just never stopped in.I finally had a chance to stop in when I had a craving for pasta. The first thing I noticed was the smell of cig smoke when I walked into this place. While it didn't bother me much, it may bother some people. The ambiance of the interior made me feel I was back in the early 90s again. It made me feel rather nostalgic as a kid who grew up in the late 80s and 90s. Younger folks would simply call it "outdated".There was only two people working which seemed to be a husband and wife team. The husband was quite friendly to us, but the wife was a bit rough around the edges. It seems like she was having a bad evening.I ordered the spaghetti and it was awesome. Loved the sauce so much I wanted to lick it clean out of the bowl. The bread and salad was pretty good as well.I would come back here for sure.

This review is based on the authentic food you will be eating... it is the best in town. Go to Olive Garden for great service, come to piccolos for real food. Also, I order to go in order to avoid long wait, dark ambience, and everything else the complaints were about.

Some girl called me a smart a** for telling her I had ordered pizza.. she goes "i can be a smartass too". #get'erfired.

So dissapointed. The service is horrible and only a few menu items were available! So sad to see a former favorite run down like this.

Food? Phenomenal. Ms. Velma? Wonderful. Ms. Velma was quick, attentive, and offered the freshly made lasagna as my entree, which was far more than enough food. I brought it home with me and can’t wait to dig into it again. Olive Garden doesn’t hold a candle to Piccolo’s!

Food? Phenomenal. Ms. Velma? Wonderful. She offered the freshly made lasagna as my entree to pair with the wine I chose, and with the bread and salad it was far more than enough food. I brought it home with me and can't wait to dig into it again. If you expect Olive Garden service, you'll be disappointed, but you'll be blown away by the food.

It's been a year or so since I last been there. I went Sunday 9/8/19 I was the first customer and it was dead well I went in and ordered 2 shrimp raffello which was ok not the greatest I once had from there and when I went to pay and she (the owner ) who by the way was working by her self, asked if I had cash. I told her no and I offered to go get cash. My d*** a**** well u would think they would give u a hook up for doing that ( getting cash )nope and the portions size has gotten small 2 of them cost me $40. I won't be going back. It's been a good run Picc but I gotta let u go... wish y'all the best

Great food for the money. I take my wife here at least a few times a year. Try the Shrimp Fettuccini!

SORRY to say this place has gone downhill. Used to love it, but so many things have gone wrong. From not having my favorite dish (Ziti Sorrentino) to noticing that only the owner( also the cook!)and one other person was running the place. On a Friday night! Food was not bad, but the restaurant was depressing. So sad to me. Don't know if I'll be back.

Bottomline: Delicious Italian Food. Italian people are not known to be overly loving to strangers, so we need time to warm up and be welcoming. I've seen way too many reviews about the food being amazing but the lady is rude. NOT RUDE, she's just not a southern lady taught to courtsy when ppl arrive.

I know everyone complains about the old lady because she is direct and short with the costumers. We have been coming here for 3 years and we understand how she is and once people get over themselves and want to enjoy some authentic Italian food this is the best. Let me tell you it's not Olive Garden or any other American Italian chain, this is how Italians cook trust me I have been to Italy. Food is amazing, service isn't but if you know her and how she is it becomes part of the restaurant and is funny.

What's happened to my poor baby Piccolos?!?!?!?! So the thing is that there have been months and years between visits in the past. It was never a problem because Piccolo's was like my granny's house just sitting there, ready to go when the next celebration rolled around. It had been a while since my last visit, but this week being a fabulous week I thought I should indeed treat myself to a great homemade Italian meal. I rolled up to the front door around 1pm. There were 2 other cars parked in front and 2 along the side. I guessed that the lunch rush had already wrapped up - yay me! But then I start noticing things.... like the weeds and stray grass growing in between the parking lot's bumpers and restaurant porch. I thought, maybe they're afraid of using Round Up with all the cancer allegations going on.... I notice that the windows are very dark - like their afternoon sun-blocking tint was covered with dirty film of grime. Ok - you know what, I hate washing the outside of my windows as well. But things are getting worse. I go through front door and am immediately hit by an overwhelming stale smell.... you know that salt/pepper smell you get when you check into a little motel by the beach? It literally smells like you've opened up a package of plastic silverware that has the salt/pepper packets. It usually indicates that there aren't any cleaning agents in use (and haven't been for a while....). There is no garlic flavoring the air, no hint of simmering marinara sauce to whet your appetite. To add to the sensation that you're in the middle of something old and musty, to the right of the entrance is a waiting bench - or what had been one at one point. Now it was filled from one end to the other with stuff. About a half of it was taken up with some kind of bunched/rolled up fabric (drapes?) that looked like they had been stained in a vat of used week-old coffee. We are greeted by a gentleman in a button down short sleeve shirt (that was 1/2 tucked and 1/2 hanging out) who led us to a table while I said hello to the lady (aka the owner) who was USUALLY at the front desk. We walk past a gentleman eating by himself while the owner walks over to two people sitting by the window, pulls up a chair, and starts talking with them. We sit and look at the heavily crinkled menus in beat up old page protectors. After a while our water comes and the man who I thought was our server leaves. Sitting there I continue to notice: there is NO sound coming from the kitchen. The lights are off back there and there's no evidence of movement. If fact the place where the bathroom is located is literally a dark black hole - I only know of it's location from past visits. The overhead lights have 1/2 of their light bulbs not working/burnt out. The bulbs that are on are on their dead lowest setting with only a faint glow coming from them - giving the restaurant a very dark setting even in midday. The walls/murals look like a layer of dirt is over them and I think a dusting is definitely due. It is eerily silent..... no music, no musical clink of pots/pans/silverware/china, no sound of air movement whether due to steam or AC. The owner and her group are using very hushed tones as they talk. It's bizarre, but I almost feel like I'm in a funeral home (because at the Library you have movement, the flutter of pages turning, the click of computer keyboards, the beeps from scanners). It feels uncomfortable - it makes me wonder how fresh the food is that they are getting ready to cook and serve us. Now guy returns and asks if we're ready to order. You bet, I have faith that I'm just mistaken and my "Spidy sense" is wrong! Ok, he's going to let the lady know so that she can take our order. Huh? Oh, ok. He walks over and tells her we're ready and then retreats back to the kitchen. We wait... she talks...we wait some more.... she's still talking. In fact, she&a
