First off… I was skeptical because I lived off Poke in San Diego. The way this was done was phenominal, dare I say BETTER than So-Cal poke. The BEST poke in San Antonio for sure, glad I found this place! Go get you a bowl, You wont regret

As a stand alone this place was absolutely amazing but since they merged it seems to be less so, I miss being able to see everything and order it as I see it since there’s a good amount of options, I also had a super hard time finding the location. It also doesn’t seem as friendly and the person up front doesn’t seem to know the menu or how any of it works and not as friendly. Which sucks cause I used to adore this place and come in every week but I stopped cause I moved jobs.Edit: I see the reply from the owner, and the food was still amazing, no issues there (though there wasn’t enough soy sauce but that may have been a personal preference?). I think ordering online and picking it up is a good solution too! I’m sorry they couldn’t renew their lease in the old location.

For a long time I loved going to this place when it was still located on 1604 near the Blanco intersection. My favorite was always the Spurs bowl. It was always nice to see the employees preparing the food in front of you. It was always nice to know they got the Blue plate award. It was great as a stand alone restaurant. Now as I see it has moved to this new location inside the Wok On Wheels at 4503 DeZavala Rd, they prepare everything in the back kitchen. It's not like a front serving line anymore where you can choose your items as you move alone. This is very disappointing to me and I'm not sure I will return to this restaurant again in the future. My first experience at this new location. The lady at the front desk barely knew what was going on with the poke central brand. She didn't understand the menu very well. And it seemed like the people working the kitchen barely knew the menu as well. It's hard to believe that poke central in its present environment is even worthy of this blue plate award anymore. Poke Central was never made for this fast food takeout environment.

The sauce was SO salty and fish was mediocre. I couldn’t enjoy the food because they put way too much sauce and the sauce tasted like soy sauce, I’m disappointed.
After eating here with my friend, we both got extremely sick and threw up. We both had the salmon, and I would not recommend.

Usually a pretty great choice for poke!However, I visited poke central for dinner on August 15th and got food poisoning from my bowl.

The food was good. I would be back and try different varieties. I think it's worth the price. One regular bowl could have fed both of us.I didn't give it a higher rating due to the lackluster service. They didn't do anything wrong just not very enthused in their work. The place was empty but maybe folks take it to go like us.

I hate leaving bad reviews seriously!!! But i feel like i needed to speak up about this place. I usually do not leave reviews, but I would not recommend this place anytime within an hour and a half before their closing. The salmon was a very very light pink. I ordered online to clarify. Also as i was eating it, some pieces were falling off of the salmon that looked weird but I was starving so I disregarded it. Also had to pull apart some of the pieces from one another, something was just off...After eating, i noticed a really metallic taste in my mouth and I am not the type to freak out over something small but I started throwing up 30 min after eating the poke bowl and had an intense migraine. After throwing up AND brushing my teeth to make sure the metallic taste wasn't from another ingredient, the metal taste came back. Went to the ER to make sure I didn't get some sort of poisoning (something was wrong I literally never go to the er over something random) and after hearing what the Dr. had to say and running tests, I had gotten scombroid poisoning. Easy fix with antihistamine from what I was told. not sure of the quality of the fish throughout the day but just posting this as a warning if you order any time after 8p.
