The place has no standards when it comes to cleanliness. The bathroom definitely needs some work with holes in the walls and the vents appeared to have mold. The dining area was empty but yet the tables were not clean. Food was cold and had no flavor.

The store was short-handed due to an employee calling in sick, but the manager on duty was doing her best to handle both the drive-through and the lobby. She was really hustling! I have managed a store in the past, and I know it is NOT easy to keep up with customer orders when understaffed. I appreciated her pleasant and positive attitude as she worked to get the orders out in a timely manner.

I made an Uber Eats pickup order and just spent 30 mins at this Popeyes because the Manager refused to give me my order even though I showed her my app showing my name and my order. She claimed I needed to show how I "accept the order" even though I already did click on that option, and the order showed as Completed. She had trouble grasping that I'm not an Uber driver, but the customer, and the concept of Pickup was confusing her too, it seems. Tldr I spent 20 mins on the phone with Uber Eats, and they had to call her and explain how this money for food exchange usually works. I got my order after 35 mins total.

She also asked why I use Uber Eats and not Popeyes app to order, which was very interesting too. I reported that detail to UE. Running a Popeyes restaurant shouldn't be that complicated, but it seems that for some people, it is too much. Btw this all happened on 1/15/2025 around 3:30 - 4 pm Central.

This Popeyes has consistently poor service and food quality. I don’t think I’ve ever received any items that were fresh. The biscuits are always dry and hard, the fries are usually cold, and the chicken strips are usually cold and undersized. Also, they always forget part of the order whether it’s the side or the sauce or they give you the wrong chicken type (spicy vs mild).

If I could give no stars that’s what it would be, because why did I come here on my lunch break thinking I’m gonna get some chicken, and they have no employees. It’s the same thing every time at this store. Poor customer service, no food ready, and no employees. What’s going on with this store??????

Very bad service no one greets customers or agnolag customers are waiting for service.this store needs someone who knows how to manage a restaurant during a dinner rush corporate needs to review camera footage and get a manager who will make this store make money not loose money by not being prepared or having customers walk out mad

The fried chicken recipe and flavor seem to be pretty much the same across all Popeyes locations in the San Antonio area.

When I arrived they were out of fried chicken wings, but the staff followed the procedure of asking my opinion to change to another part without extra charge, and also apologized to me very sincerely. I was very satisfied with their service attitude. But there was a big minus point when I accidentally looked inside the kitchen area, the working space was quite dirty and there were some staff who were even marinating and frying chicken with their bare hands, they did not use gloves to cook for a long time while I was there. That makes me feel self-conscious about the food.

The water area was cleaned quite well although I did remind the staff that the sweet tea was running out so they could refill it but it seemed that due to the constant flow of customers they either forgot or were too busy to refill the tea, which is understandable.

In general, I still appreciate the attitude of the staff here when communicating with customers.

If anyone likes a little quiet, I don't think this place is suitable because the number of customers coming in and out is quite frequent and it's really noisy. I don't understand why but some customers here are quite rude as they constantly rush other customers or bother me when I pay for my order.

A large number of customers here seem to have little or no English. I am from Europe and communicate mainly in German as well as English but when I try to communicate and remind other customers they seem to not understand and mostly only understand Mexican, and the staff here have been quite helpful with translating. But once again, credit to the staff here for handling the situation well so I didn't feel uncomfortable being bothered by other customers.

Vegetarian options: No vegetarian dishes here.

Dietary restrictions: Except for the staple chicken dishes and a little fried fish and some potato side dishes, there are hardly any other options.

Parking: There are plenty of free parking spots in front of the store.

Wheelchair accessibility: I don't see any specific wheelchair access here although wheelchairs can move around here but it might be quite inconvenient.

The manager was so friendly and kind-- he set the atmosphere! He helped his coworker correct my order (my mistake while ordering), and they got my food out in a prompt manner. I'm very grateful for the service with a smile and the good food!
