As a seasoned gentleman living in San Antonio (originally from LA, mind you), I’ve been on the hunt for a place where the 35-and-up crowd can relax without the chaos of loud kids and TikTok trends. So, when a colleague mentioned Qulturé, I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
I strolled in, half-expecting a grand entrance ?,but nope—no one greeted me. Not a huge deal; I wasn’t looking for red carpets, just a hello. I found my way to the bar and had a friendly chat with the bartender, who politely answered my questions. Great start, right? I grabbed a seat, only to realize I needed to order a drink. Back to the bar I went.
Now, this is where things went a little sideways. The bartender was busy chatting with a few folks at the other end, and I figured she’d take my order soon enough. But no, she wasn’t exactly in a hurry nor panning the bar. I stood there, awkwardly, like I was invisible. Realizing no service was coming anytime soon, I gave a little wave—she noticed me right away and finally took my order. But then she closed me out without even asking if I wanted to keep the tab open! I mean, come on! Luckily, my waitress swooped in, and she was super friendly. I decided to keep my business with her.
Here’s the thing though, and it pains me to say this: Customer service these days has really fallen off a cliff. I get it, times are tough, but the hustle? Gone. And yet, the expectation to tip is still very much alive and well.
Look, I have no problem tipping—been there, done that. I spent over 20 years as a bartender on the side (while serving in the Air Force). But where’s the effort? The drive? This is especially frustrating because Qulturé is a Black-owned business, by vet(s) and I want to support them.
That said, I hear there’s a live band on Sundays, and I’m planning to swing by around 1300 hours (military time, yes, I’m that guy) as recommended by the lovely waitress. Fingers crossed for an older crowd and some next-level service. We’ll see if second time’s the charm. See you then, Qulturé. I’m rooting for you!

I came on a Friday night where the atmosphere was really great. The DJ played amazing music and Maria the bartender was amazing and very kind. She made sure I was good and made sure I was taken care of. Definitely recommend the experience here definitely recommend coming and checking out yourself.

Very cool environment but the kitchen takes extremely long for something as simple as Chicken and Waffles. Still recommend going, if you have the patience. Hosts and bottle girls were great!
Came from out of town hoping to have a good time with the food and music. Ordered the lamb chops with Mac. Then my server disappears. Waited about 40 minutes before flagging down another server to ask about my order and was told they were not serving that dish at the time. Really wanted to support this business but the staff seems as if they do not care.

This was my first time going. I brought my granddaughters. I love that it’s kid friendly during the day. We ordered lamb chops and wings. I won’t say the place I always get my lamb chops from but these topped those 100 %. Don’t go anywhere else ! They were serving brunch but the chef Britany allowed the kids to get wings due to my grandaughters allergies. Day was our server. Very attentive, very sweet. We will be back !

I had a 1pm reservation. First off we were seated at dirty table. So we moved on our own because the hostess/Waitress never came back. Waited for 10 min a new waitress came over to tell us the cook had not arrived and won't be in for another hour..but we can purchase hookah and a drink..we left and went next door to First Watch and had pleasant/ beautiful service and a wonder breakfast.
I visited Qulture on a Friday night and the crowd was mainly younger adults. Very fun and bottle service happening everywhere. It looked like the 4th of July inside. Very fun and entertaining to watch! The music was great and the noise/music level wasn't bad at all. The food was absolutely fantastic! We had the catfish with mac and cheese and honey hot wings with truffle fries. Both were so delicious. Drinks and hookah were great as well. The service was exceptional. Although next time, I would visit on "old-head" night (only because that's my age group) but, overall, it was a great time that I would love to have again.
Went here for a birthday brunch and it was worth it!!!! Monique made sure I had a good spot and was taken care of. The food! Wings on point! Waffles and the French toast! All a yess!! They even had a DJ playing all the right music and a live singer who did RnB covers. We will def be back!

I'd like to give it five stars, but the music is really loud, making it difficult to have conversations. If the DJ could lower the volume a bit, I think the overall vibe of the place would still be great.

Let me start by saying, I never write a review without giving the feedback directly. I have been here multiple times and the food is always consistent and good, however the service and atmosphere needs work. Our waitress was very patient and the instances I am going to mention were out of her locus of control.
Firstly, we ordered a mimosa tower and it came tilted, it worked however presentation wise wasn’t the best. Next, they were running low on silverware and it was only 1 pm, which is concerning as it was the start to brunch, our food came out and we had to wait for silverware for awhile. Secondly, some of the people at our tables food was cold, which was a downer and it was sent back, as well as them running low on chicken. Lastly, I go to the bathroom and there is no toilet paper in any of the stalls except one and there was very little, I had to help other girls passing it to them once I heard they needed support. Again, it was 1-3 pm, I understand that there are multiple situations to running a business, however for the upscale aspect and how much you spend here, they need to do better. While they tried to mitigate by giving us free shots, the overall experience did not align to upscale dining. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning again after today.
