SMOKE ? if it wasn't for the smokey atmosphere it would be great. Otherwise it's a decent hole in wall dive bar. But they do seem to allow smoking inside. For me, it messes with my asthma. And gives me horrid headaches. I leave when the smokers lite up. ??♂️ 3 stars being nice Would be 5 but this is third time I seen em lite up at bar or off to sode inside.

Ms. Dina is wonderful. She takes care of all the customers and is just genuinely nice and professional. The atmosphere is chill. The other customers are cool peeps. Would recommend.
We saw the episode of Bar Rescue that featured this bar and thought 'why not check it out'. It's your typical neighborhood dive bar. The bartender was friendly and the service was good. It's dark and not well lit inside and they took out the draft system that was put in during the show. They did keep the theme and decor, as well as the pizza oven. It's right across from Fort Sam Houston and their golf course. I guess we expected more after seeing the show.

This local bar is located just outside Fort Sam Houston off Harry Wurzbach @ Burr Road. Most might consider this a "dive" bar, but I'd say a friendly, local spot. The beer is always cold and Shelby is the go-to bartender. She may not always remember your name, but she sure remembers your face. This is definitely a spot you will find regulars. There are games such as pool, trivia and darts and also a jukebox. There is a sign outside the bar that reads "best pizza in town" and while opinions may vary, this dang pizza is good! That is all the food they have, but just wait and the tamale lady will come in and these tamales are delicious! Did I mention it was on Bar Rescue? Sorry, no pics. I'll add next time I'm there

You know, it is rare to find somewhere I want to revisit however, I have frequently returned to the Base Line these past few weeks. The reason being is your bartenders, in particular Shelby. Shelby is the epitome of excellence. She is professional, friendly, and a sincere desire to take care of her customers. I only hope when I start my business, I will be so fortunate to find a young professional as Shelby. Thanks for bringing Shelby into my space, she is the reason for my satisfaction and comfort at the Baseline. Kudos
