Imagine spending almost $25 for one açaí bowl, driving 20 mins home to realize the order was wrong. Called one of the employees and she kept asking “are you sure” as if I’m blind. I paid for extra toppings, only thing on my açaí bowl were strawberries and TONS of chai seeds. She kept saying the person who made it put the strawberries on the side which is what I paid extra for and the toppings it originally came with were gone completely. They act like they hate their job then have the audacity to ask for a tip. Don’t say hello, just stare at you until you speak. She then said she would refund it and I never received it. So unfortunate because I go there often and this experience really put a bad taste in my mouth. Do better.

I’ve visited this location of Rise Up Açaí several times, and while the quality of the food remains consistently good, there are a few key areas where the experience falls short—especially in comparison to their downtown location.

Unfortunately, the customer service here hasn’t been very friendly or engaging. The atmosphere also feels less welcoming, lacking the vibrant energy and attentiveness I’ve come to expect from the brand elsewhere.

Each time I’ve visited, even with just one or two people ahead of me, it has taken 15 to 20 minutes to receive a single açaí bowl. While I appreciate fresh preparation, the wait time is excessive for such a simple order, particularly when the store is not busy.

Overall, while the bowls themselves are enjoyable, the slow service and less-than-warm environment make it hard to recommend this location over others. A bit more efficiency and friendliness would go a long way in improving the customer experience.

Definitely a 3 star location. The one in Alamo heights is 10 times better. This place is expensive, lackluster and the Açaí was a softer consistency ( tastes better when more firm) than at the original location I used to go to.

why aren’t there more reviews about how terribly disgusting this place is? I wish I would’ve taken a look around before ordering my $10 smoothie bc I didn’t even drink it after seeing the black mold covering the bathroom/ hallway & even back in the kitchen.

Women’s Restroom is absolutely disgusting. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Smells like pee. The floor doesn’t look like it’s ever been mopped. The sink is full of gunk and the toilet literally has a black lining going around the inside of the bowl. Don’t even want to know what the men’s looks/smells like.

Great acai and very clean place, but you can tell the workers just do not want to be there.

I LOVE granola and it was my first time coming, so I didn't expect the surprise of granola they put at the bottom of the bowl. It made me SO happy

Absolutely brilliant. Coffee was ground fresh and the service great. I truly underestimated the classic Americano that I got. It was fresh and better than most coffee shop big chains.

Food is pretty okay but the workers are rude and the wait times are very long. Last time we went in the worker slammed our order on our table and didn’t even say anything and just walked away. Very rude.

The workers there are very nice and helpful, but the management is awful. The managers wife yells at the employees and treats them with no respect! I overheard them while I was trying to order! Do not come if you’re looking for peace and quiet because you won’t find it here!! Never coming again, justice for the workers!
