Rita's On the River

Our family recently visited Rita’s On The Riverwalk on May 17, 2025, eager to try their highly recommended menu. We were immediately drawn to the festive ambiance, but our experience quickly turned sour. Upon being seated, we ordered, and our drinks and appetizer were served, but things took a turn when we noticed a roach scuttling across the dining table. Initially, we thought it might have been a one-time occurrence, but as we looked around, I spotted several more live roaches on the floor, near the edge of the dining area. At one table nearby, several customers quickly left after a roach crawled under their table. I took a photo of the situation to ensure I wasn't imagining things, and when I showed it to the “manager”, she didn’t seem apologetic and said, “Oh, the large ones come from the river.” This reaction did little to resolve the situation. It was quite unsettling, especially given the reputation this place has for its food. While the server was polite, the presence of insects left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. In terms of the food, the dish was flavorful, but the experience was overshadowed by the infestation. It's disappointing that such an issue went unaddressed, as we were looking forward to continuing our dining experience. The “manager” did comp a portion of our bill; however, I hope the restaurant takes immediate steps to resolve these cleanliness issues because, until then, I can't recommend it to anyone who values a clean dining environment.

Great food and service! Fred managed to handle our whole group of about 55 people.

Fred was our waiter and they were short hand and was able to accommodate to us. We showed up with a group of about 55 people from school and he managed to get our orders and food out faster than we expected and the food was great!

Our server, Anthony was amazing! He gave great recommendations and had a great humor. Great experience with Anthony!

My husband and I stopped at Rita’s to grab a drink and a quick snack while we were out and about walking the riverwalk. Our waitress Jazzy was so sweet and took such good care of us. Even though we didn’t order a meal, she was just as attentive and made sure our chip bowl was never empty!!! Queso was delicious and we ate every last bite! This is part of our honeymoon trip so Jazzy made sure we took a cute picture outside and I of course had to snap one with her too. She made our whole day!! The margaritas were delicious !!!! Only downside… we should shared 1 instead of getting 2. But we enjoyed every sip :)) Photo reference these things are huge !!!!!

Absolutely enjoyed our experience at Rita’s. Our server Jazz was awesome and helped make our dining experience even more enjoyable.
