First time coming to this place and it was by far the best tamales I’ve had. The pork with jalapeños were spicy and good. I’m definitely coming back. And the owner is a super nice woman.10/10 I recommend the drive.

We drove from Live Oak (about 20 miles) on recommendation from a friend. Right away we were greeted by Lee Marvin and he was so friendly and helpful. The tamales were delicious and definitely worth driving through construction and light rain. Thank you Lee Marvin for your smile and your "God bless you" !

Tamales used to be something special here many years ago now they are awful started going downhill about 10 years ago. Gave it another chance the other day and still awful. Could hardly even find any meat in the tamales just some shreds here and there they were dry and no grease (cause there is no meat most likely) couldn't even eat them had one tamale and threw the rest out. Not sure what is going on with the rest of these 5 star reviews clearly they must be fake reviews because there is no way - these tamales are barely edible. So disappointing we used to get tamales from Rubens every Saturday - WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PORK ???

I got there at 7 am waited about an hour and half made new friends while in line once I got inside I got my tamales fresh and hot got home tried them out they were well worth the wait I went to Dahlia tamales waited 3 hrs never got my food the ppl were rude and would not give out any information I highly recommend Ruben tamales look no further!!!
