There’s really no reason to go anywhere else for Tex-Mex food if you live in this part of town. Pickup or dine in for all your favorites. They use that good cheese by the way! The kind they sprinkle on the top of chalupas you get a El Mercado. So so good. Hits the spot every time. Great spot.

Ruthie's has been around a long time. I've been stopping by off and on for many years. Today I had the bacon and egg burrito which comes with bean and cheese inside as well. The one thing I did not like was the cheese not being melted along with the beans. Also there was not a lot of bacon pieces in the eggs. But this place has consistently decent food and a long-standing history at this location. So will I be back? Yeah, I'll be back.

Wonderful authentic "San Antonio" Mexican food! The manager/owner, Nas, is so nice! He actually is the waiter, cashier, manager, etc. Highly recommend!!
What a great experience and dinner! The food is delicious, the aguas frescas (lemonade on my behalf) were fresh and original, and the ingredients in the food were fresh and made from scratch. Thank you for a wonderful dinner; Nos, your service was exceptional! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE.I have frequented Ruthies in the past but I will no longer be a customer going forward. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants on Blanco alone then to be treated rudely by anybody at Ruthies. Ruthies has a new weekly special for 2 preselected tacos and a med. Tea for $4.33. When I visited the establishment last week I noticed the special and asked for the tea that came with my 2 tacos but was told I was too late it was after 9am which is understandable. I didn't make it in time. Well I visited again today and ordered 2 tacos Togo and sat down and waited and when my tacos came out I went up the the register and told the same women who told me last time no that it "looks like I made it in time this time to get a tea" happily. She immediately tells me no again that I needed to mention it at the time of my purchase and she would not be giving me a tea even though I made it in the time frame for their deal. I even tipped for my Togo order! I will no longer visit this establishment when the workers are too lazy to give the customer what they paid for. I also told the lady I would be calling management and she told me repeatedly she didn't care she's the owners daughter. They won't get another penny from me. I have even taken my family here in the past and to be treated that way is unbelievable. She would rather refund me then give me the tea that came with my order. What kind of customer service is that?
