Ruth's Chris Steak House

Great atmosphere and service. The food was excellent and steaks were perfectly cooked. Our waiter was very attentive and it was very heartwarming to see several employees thank our son and his fellow airman for their service.

My very first time here !! Our server Hash was AMAZING!! Was very polite... definitely will be back !!!

There is a dress code which is a very good thing the host is very nice the atmosphere is great nice soft lights just a really great place to have a romantic dinner with an significant other or just a nice date I highly recommend this place

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. The food and service was amazing. Our waitress Aleiza was so friendly and helpful with our questions about the items on the menu. Great experience.

The service was excellent, Gabriel was amazing. Food was just okay, steak was a bit dry cooked just right and mashed potatoes were overly buttered. Dessert was not very good. Coffee was very very strong. And it was over priced. It would not be my first choice

This will be a two part story sorry for the biography went there on mother's Day they was a total of six in our party we sit down the lady took our drink orders it took her almost 20 minutes to bring two cocktails out mind you it was not very busy we went early normally when you sit down they normally bring your bread out right away never happened bought our appetizers out no bread there was a glass of ice tea that we did not like it was too strong and we asked her several times to remove it she came back to get the wine cups off and we again try to handle the iced tea and she got very upset I cannot put this iced tea on this tray and we said okay she had a bad attitude then our salads came out and the salads came out totally wrong we ordered wedge salads she brought steakhouse salad when we at requested wedge salads at this point my niece asked to speak to the manager well she had the manager in the corner and was speaking to him on her own saying all the things that was going on at the table and I happen to hear it I was walking by and she specifically mentioned how he was trying to give her a glass of iced tea that she could not put on that tray so we asked for a new servers and we got a great guy his name is Joey he normally works the bar area but he was willing to help us Now remember she was the one that took our total order so when Joey brought out our steaks the whole table had the same steak a cowboy ribeye she even put that in wrong she bought three bone in ribeyes and two without the bone so Joey apologized and had to get us two bone-in ribeyes redone so the rest of the table had dinner while we waited but that being said Joey well made up for the problem and so did management I would recommend anybody going to Ruth Chris try to sit at the bar and ask for Joey he is the nicest kindest person there is and made it right we almost got up and left but then we seen that he was very nice and had a smile on his face not like our first server that look like she was crying I will make sure when I go there I will not get her I I was going to put her name on here but decided not to

Always the best experience at Ruth Chris, specifically at the bar. From the minute we are greeted by Sara to the professionalism by the entire team in the bar (Chris, Matt, Freddy, Sher, Joey and John, etc), we always feel at welcome here. The food is wonderful and drinks are incredible! Can’t thank this team enough for their hospitality!

What am amazing experience possibly the best Ruth experience ever.
Matt was our bartender/server he was exceptional and all the accompanying staff was incredible. Thank you Carlos was lovely chatting and meeting you. What a lovely Christmas home away from home.

I have to say 5 star service our server John was amazing Sara stopped by also she was also awesome actually there was several of the team stopped and talked maybe because we was celebrating my wife's birthday but either way service and food was over the top

Gabriel the server was amazing. I had a very bad experience at a local bbq restaurant and had to go somewhere I knew I would be treated well and the food would be good. I was tense from the experience beforehand and everyone at Ruth's Chris turned my day around. Stuffed chicken breast is so good! Don't get stuck on eating just the steak. Pair it with mashed potatoes and pinot noir.

Was there on the 28th celebrating my birthday and thanksgiving. Have been there many times and always thoroughly enjoyed it. This time the first cut on my filet I thought I was using my butter knife. No, it was just a difficult to cut. The other three people joining me experienced the same thing. I am not a complainer. The steak can be from medium-rare to medium and I am a happy guy. I can't blame the chef or the server, the meat just wasn't that good. I know everything is more expensive today but when I pay more, I expect the quality to be there.

I’ve always loved Ruth Chris, especially the one on Jones Maltzburger. And I know they’ve had a tough time through Covid and post Covid just like everybody else, but today I met some friends there and the service was impeccable, the drinks were fabulous, and the food was great. It’s so nice to see a place working so hard to maintain its place here in San Antonio. The happy hour menu is wonderful and offers a nice array of specialty drinks..

And a special shout out to the brothers Joey and Freddy, and another bartender Matt. They provided Five Star service.

Best steaks we've had! Nothing like this back home in the RGV! Steaks were hot until the last bite! Beth is an amazing server. Patient with our questions and very respectful! Celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary.
