Mini tacos - my Latina friend said they were the worst tacos she'd had in a long time.
Coconut shrimp (camaron de coco) - I could be mistaken, but I felt they were overcooked, a bit burnt. I wouldn't order them again, but maybe that's just me.
Ensalada de frijoles - extremely disappointing. I was surprised when I saw the huge foil take-out container for my salad. But then, I've had huge salads. I expected it to be stuffed full to bursting, likely half full of lettuce and half with a mixture of assorted vegetables, plus corn and beans. I opened it and was shocked to discover a modest amount of corn and beans and a few teeny tiny pieces of onions and what might be red bell pepper. I called the restaurant. I assumed there was a mistake and that they had accidentally left out most of my salad. No, they said it was correct. The "ensalada de frijoles" doesn't actually include any salad. Or much in the way of any vegetable. $13 for 1-2 cups of black beans and corn. What the heck.
Needless to say, I'm never going back.
P.S. Don't be like me - I accidentally called the wrong Mexican restaurant named Sabor. Sabor Cocina Mexicana, 8425 Bandera Rd, is just a few miles away from Sabor Mexico Mezcal, 5720 Bandera Rd, which is unrelated.

Came in for a bite after the gym and decided on the ck fajita special they had for the day. It came out nice and steamy the salsa is also a goodie, deff has a good kick to it :)
Love this place. Easily my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in San Antonio.
Cheers to Luis and Beto.

I have dined here numerous times. By numerous I mean probably 20+. I havent had one bad dish. Not one. Rice was cooked perfectly. Beans were delicious. Shrimp Enchiladas were cooked perfectly and the flavor was impeccable. The mini-tacos we exactly what they should have been. The seasoning on the Asada was flawless. I cannot say enough about Sabor Cocina Mexicana and their staff. Excellent service, atmosphere, and dining experience.

First time here and, unfortunately, will not be returning. They were out of Carne guisada at 1100 am. I ordered two tacos, and they brought me the wrong taco. 30 min later and still no Chicharron taco. I had to ask for him to say he thought he had Chicharron but did not. Had to request sugar..napkins as these items should be on the table already. I asked for hot sauce when I first ordered. Had to ask again after my taco was here and had to wait. The fajita meat not tender at all and had nerves. The onion was not cooked and still raw. Beto was very nice but still does not make up for the other issues.

Wife got an omelette and I had the chicken chimichanga. Good flavor cooked perfectly. I was expecting a sauce on the chimichanga, there was none, however it was really good.

This is not traditional Mexican food if that is what you are looking for like I was. The chicken mole enchiladas were ok. It was served with white rice and refried beans. The plate was delivered hot, straight from the oven, burn your fingers hot.The fish and shrimp plate was ok. The shrimp was very fried, almost like chicharron. The fish was ok, somewhat fishy. But it was lightly breaded and cooked well.Overall it was ok, the food was prepared to order and service was good.

Delicious and affordable plates and breakfast tacos (all day)! I've started coming here on Saturdays after visiting Nani Falcone park and it hits the spot! Try the Diablo sauce! I am NOT a sauce person, but this sauce I really really like, flavorful and a bit spicy. Everything is so
