My favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. Hands down the best, most consistent quality with good sized portions and authentic tastes. The 5/5 spicy is legitimately spicy even if you're a spice fan. Many of their dishes taste just like in Thailand and I'm so glad they're nearby. In restaurant is slightly better than take out but both are very good.Highly recommend the som Tam, red curry and yellow curry with crispy noodles (basically Khoi Soi). Tofu is great and very veggie friendly

I decided to drive a little further down today from my normal Thai lunch place I frequent to give another small business a try. Unhappy to communicate it was the first and last time I visit Sawasdee. I am giving two stars because the greeter was super sweet and the plate look presentable upon opening. I really tried to eat the Pad Prik King with beef I ordered but I could not stomach the smell or the taste. The rice, vegetables, and beef all tasted like freezer and lacked flavor.

I had the green curry. Not sure if the kitchen was having an off day, but it tasted VERY sugary. The rice was well made. No complaints about the service! Based on the green curry alone though, I would not recommend this restaurant.

We use to love coming here, but after getting take out twice from here, they keep giving us our pad thai very spicy (when I specifically ask for medium). We can’t even enjoy our food, because ours lips are swollen and nose is running. I feel it’s being done intentionally now, because it happened twice. Unfortunately, this will be the last time we dine or get take out from here.

I have dined in this restaurant for birthday gatherings and the staff is very calm during the event and very attentive and respectful for being such a huge crowd. I love the selections and presentations of their dishes. This time i ordered the shrimp curry and it was very flavorful. I will gladly be returning to this place to try the various dishes they have. Overall great service from beginning to end.

We traveled to Thailand and when we returned searches for a restaurant that served food that was authentic. Sawasdee is the place! We love their curry dishes the most. Really delicious Thai Fried rice too

This is a special place. I've never been to Thailand myself, but my guess would be that the food and atmosphere here are likely representative of authentic Thai culture and eats. Subdued, inviting interior with attentive, cordial staff. Owner seems to already be present and it is evident in the repeated quality of the food and experience. Love to dine in but you get exceptional food to go here as well. Packaged with thoughtfulness everything needed to eating back at home.
