Great Place for a hearty, or healthy, meal! Food fabulous. Root beer, and adult versions, really good. Anten our server was the best. Come back here every time I'm in San Antonio.

We had a corporate happy hour after a conference hosted at Schilo's and we could not have been happier with the results. We had the full space to ourselves. The staff was fantastic and I never thought the talk of the party would be fried green beans. Would 10000% recommend if you need to plan an event in San Antonio!

You are in for a treat here. This restaurant is the oldest in San Antonio and it has been here all these years for good reason. Amazing food, great servers, great prices.

I have been looking for good German food since my favorite place in Ft. Worth closed. FOUND IT... FINALLY. The schnitzel was crispy and juicy, the red cabbage was tender and oh so good. We tried almost all the sides on the menu between my family and we didn't find one that was lacking. They were all so good.

Our experience was made even better by the absolute best server. Daniel... let's talk about this server. Happy, pleasant, Attentive, observant. What a joy. He literally anticipated our every need and request and we waited for nothing. He knows the menu and the food here and made wonderful recommendations based on our questions. He clearly loves his job and the interaction with people and that made out great experience here literally the best we have had since moving to San Antonio a couple months ago.

You will be missing out on a San Antonio land mark if you skip out on this restaurant. BTW... Get the root beer. It is like nothing your have ever tried before and I'm craving it while I type this review.

I wish I had photos to add today, but the food was so good by the time I remembered to take them, yea there was not a whole lot left to take a picture of. I'll get them next time

Fries were cold; although they brought new ones out. They also took our picture and were going to bring it to us but never did. The chicken was really good however. Bratwurst was strangely dry. Overall I was disappointed. The dark beer was good though

I love it here! It's one of my favorite places to dine in and flash back in time. I always get the house made root beer and all their food items are lovely. Jada took great care of me!

Brat and Kielbasa were overcooked. Server forgot: the food I ordered, silverware, a beer I ordered, and the check. Literally had to go up the cashier to request a check to pay and leave. There were three tables when we left, wasn't too busy she just wasnt attentive, too busy minding things that didn't matter. Her shirt said head server. Extremely disappointed, wanted to love this place. Too many options to waste a meal here.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants. We eat here for breakfast and lunch whenever we visit San Antonio. House made root beer and traditional German cuisine is so tasty. Also. The German chocolate cake is amazing if you can get it before it's gone.

This restaurant is definitely with the wait!! There's always a line for a reason - good food, friendly service, and a cute historical atmosphere. You won't regret choosing Schilo's for breakfast or lunch!
