The food is ok. Ordered the lunch specials for the Fried Fish Sandwich and the Fried Fish & Shrimp plate, which comes with 2 sides each and $11-13 per plate.Fried Fish & shrimp plate was unflavored meat, not even the French Fries, only the Seasoned Rice. The included Hush puppies had salt but barely in vegetables inside. The fries were unsalted and got cold fast. Seasoned Rice was dry, yet had a good herbal flavor.Fish Sandwich was ok, with a nice sesame bun with barely any red onions and a single tomato slice. I had to use Tartar Sauce & Cocktail Sauce just to add some flavor and moisture to the sandwich. Got the Corn Cobbette side, which was way over boiled and no flavor, way too soft and not tender enough. And the Cole Slaw side had the same fast food level flavor as Cane's Chicken Cole Slaw, just watery-mayo flavor. In general, everything was prepped as Cafeteria style food: prepared food with no flavor, dry rice and using not fresh fish/shrimp for their main dishes. The only good thing was their friendly staff and helpful table bussers coming by making sure you are doing well with the meals, with any hot sauce or extra seasoning.

So went here because my husband LOVES seafood! And we have been married for 27 yrs (lots of sacrificing on both parts) but Ashley that took our order was very helpful and informative...you MUST try diablo crab cakes! Take it from someone that doesn't like crab cakes...they were AMAZING! Ashley made a great suggestion...try their homemade Key Lime Pie...again...AMAZING!! Top that off with their homemade Sangria and the best strawberry margarita....dinner was....you guessed it ..AMAZING!!!

The food once it arrived was adequate but they lost most of our orders and we had to wait an hour before any food arrived and after 30 minutes and having given them our receipt they still hadn’t yet started making some of our food. It’s a nice enough spot but the customer service was definitely a miss.

Sea island rarely disappoints! Celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday there as we do ea h year.Chargrilled shrimp skewer special is my jam, but so many menu items are excellent choices. My husband gets the seafood platter with an array of options, sides and hushpuppies. Whether it is grilled, battered and fried or blackened the flavors are terrific and the service is always personal like a family restaurant. A San Antonio mainstay!!Parking: Small lot arpunf restaurant with large lot a few steps away. Handicap spots nearest doors.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space, large tables and kid menu optionsWheelchair accessibility: Entrance is wheelchair accessible with small ramp

We decided to stop here and eat lunch after 3 of the other places we tried to eat at were packed with people. The line was a little long, but was moving. I am not sure why they did not open a second register to help with customer traffic. They did open that second line right after we had gotten up to place our order. I had gotten our drinks and sat down. My brother had received his meal and had almost finished it before our food even came out. The time between ordering and receiving the food was a little longer than it needed to be. I had ordered the stuffed shrimp which I had never had before. It was very good. The fries were overcooked and cold. I ended up not eating those. The green beans were fantastic. I did see quite a few workers trying to get food distributed and getting tables bussed quickly.Sea Island is usually really good in terms of food and service. This time the food was lacking a little. I thought the they could have done more to help with customer traffic to get orders placed. It did manage to die down after we had eaten. This place has been there for many years and is always a good stop if you are looking to grab seafood.
