The best thing of this place is the people. They are really kind and warm. The food is amazing, still be aware there are couple of spicy plates! ?

The eggplant to share is a standout dish and the twice cooked pork is also great, although you do need to ask for it to be spicy to get a good kick. Soup dumplings + cucumber salad are nice, but not as good as everything else we ordered.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options

The food is really tasteful. Highly recommended Chinese restaurant. Before you go, it is better to call to ensure they have table for you, otherwise you have to wait outside 30 minutes or more. The management needs improvement. Hosting is not good.

I ordered the cumin dish with chicken yesterday to go. Spicy level was hot. Best Chinese food I've had and also spiciest. (They have low or no spice options.) Good serving size as well.

Sichuan House is one of our all time favorites. Want some authenticity, this is a prime place to go. They do serve Americanized Chinese food too. For our last visit, we had the Mala dry pot, duck, spicy tofu, and a couple orders of bao. If you want spicy, this is the place to go. Mala is delicious spicy. It could hurt you, but it is worth the pain. We love cutting the spice with bao. The crispy duck is a staple for us. Mix with some hoisin sauce, put it in the bao... and you can pretend you are having Peking duck in Beijing. Oh well, we can dream, our selection in San Antonio is limited.

While the quality of the food remains exceptional, it's noticeable that the portion sizes have been reduced significantly without adjusting the prices accordingly. Shrinkflation!

Always amazing. The Don is still our favorite dish, but everything is consistently delicious and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Make reservations to guarantee your spot, it's a small space with limited seating.
