Our favorite GO TO restaurant for authentic Indian food.
Food has almost no Indian flavor, and very limited options for food. Not authentic taste at all. However, the owner is very nice and friendly to talk to. Buffet was also overpriced.
The food is amazing and the owners are extremely friendly. One of the best Indian restaurants in town.
What a great place! Partner and I came for lunch and the food was great! Friendly staff, meeting you right at the door! I definitely recommend 👌
Great place very pleasant
a hidden treasure

Favorite Indian in San Antonio - humble digs, great food
My wife and I went tonight for the first time and it was excellent! we loved the service and food! we will be back for buffet!
This is my 5th time visiting this fantastic Indian Restaurant. The flavors are authentic and the buffet has plenty of choices to satisfy your tastes. Seasoned to perfection you will not be disappointed. They changed their buffet hours to 7 days a week from 11:00 to 2:30. Their tea has a great minty flavor and the Chai is to die for. Don’t hesitate to stop on by and have a great meal.
Excellant..could not have picked a better place. Indian food was out of this world..had the dinner for 2 $36...had a taj mahal beer tastes great! We always come here !!! they have Buffett ! But I guess I like freshly cook and the service here at night is awesome!
Loved it. I know Indian food is spicy however, here they make it less spicy and have extra spice on the side for more adventurous eaters.

Had a buffet lunch and it was Ok. Taste was blended with a bit of sweetness.
The service is really fast, and the cashier is such a pleasant woman. For it being a local buisness she made me feel like family.
Upon stepping into Simi's Indian Cuisine, you're greeted with a sense of warmth and tradition. The cozy atmosphere immediately sets the tone, with a delightful mix of cultural decor and personal touches. One of the first things that caught my attention was the charming gumball machine at the entrance, a nostalgic nod that blends the familiar with the unexpected. Nearby, a wall adorned with awards and accolades, including a 20-year anniversary buffet recognition, speaks volumes about the restaurant's legacy and quality.
The owner's presence adds a personal charm to the dining experience. I had the pleasure of speaking with him and even greeted him in Hindi, which he warmly appreciated. This small interaction reflected the hospitality and authenticity that Simi’s exudes.
The interior is a celebration of Indian heritage, with beautiful ornaments, a map of India, and vibrant artwork that transport you across continents. The stained-glass artwork and earthy tones on the walls complement the cultural vibe, creating a serene and inviting dining space.
For my meal, I opted for the chicken tikka curry. The dish was a delightful symphony of flavors, with tender thigh meat cooked to perfection and enveloped in a rich, aromatic curry sauce. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, as the meat was impeccably clean and fresh. While I didn’t finish it in one sitting, the few bites I had were enough to leave a lasting impression.
Simi’s Indian Cuisine is more than just a restaurant—it’s a testament to the enduring appeal of authentic flavors, warm hospitality, and a love for Indian culture. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or a curious newcomer, this gem is worth a visit.
If you love the food but not the spicy, here's your place. Love it.
Nice thai restaurant. They cater towards your liking in seasoning and flavors. Definitely a must try place.
