Slagel Dining Facility

Cockroaches spotted in the kitchen, dining area, and food lines. Multiple people have become sick from the food here on a consistent basis. Please fumigate and clean.

Bugs everywhere nasty place

First of all, yes it is not the best DFAC in the world. But we are in the military soooooo can't really complain.

If you want to eat but have a schedule. There will always be a line of at least 5-25 minutes every day. Plan ahead.

Food is alright for everyday, survivable. Hit or miss on certain day. Eat healthy. Stay strong.

It will be full almost every meal. Be respectful to the students there.

Staff are all friendly and are trying their best to accommodate 82757362748 students' bodies on base. Be respectful and appreciate their work.

Overall, if you can go to the other DFAC on base. Try it out at least once. Even if it is a little further. If not, oh well, you are stuck with the waiting line, or doordash uber eat, domino's, commissionary... is always an option.

Lock in

I was not feeling well and I asked say one of the staff and ask her for her help in assisting me her name is miss white and she was so kind and helpful omg another staff stepped him and went looking for what I wanted his name is Mr barber and they delivered it made my day and I just want to say thank you guys so much that one little gesture made my whole day continue to be kind it is not over looked on behalf of my ship mates we appreciate you guys hard work !!! ❤️❤️❤️🫶🏾

Everything else is great but I have to say the phone signal is bad.

I don't care about the roaches. That's normal in my country. But this morning I bit into my breakfast sausage and it was RAW.

This place doesn’t deserve to be named after SFC Slagel. He would be ashamed as all who eat here are. Terrible food, terrible service, & no health standards.

Pretty decent food all around, seasoning amount is good. I wish they had cottage cheese available for all meals but they offer it for breakfast.
Sometimes the food is cold in the mornings but they take care of a lot of people so I don’t mind it too much.

The staff is always super nice and friendly.

Has to be some of the worst food in America. There are Roaches all over the place and they can’t even make RICE. Employees are rude and refuse to open some of the omelette stations on the weekends, forcing huge lines to pile up at the few that are open. It’s unfair since I’m forced to pay for this slop. It’s just so extremely disappointing.

Keep finding dead cockroaches in my food and running around everywhere in the DFAC, so one day I showed one of the employees a dead cockroach in my food, and then he just started laughing and told me to "Just throw it away and get yourself a new plate of food."

This place is legitimately a taxpayer funded racketeering scam, I’m forced to pay for a dining facility that has absolutely no standards.

Consistently reeks of raw sewage.

It’s 6:00 AM on a Monday, no milk, no coffee, roaches on the serving counter.

The food feels like it meets the minimum requirement to not be considered slop some days.

The food here got me sick and ended up in the ER 5 hours later, I would rather eat MRE's than the food from Slagel.
