I am writing to express my concerns regarding recent developments at Walzem Smoothie King Location that have affected my child, who has been employed there for over a year.
Initially, we were very pleased with the supportive environment provided by the previous ownership and management. However, since the change in management, there have been several issues that I feel need to be addressed:
Safety Concerns: My child, who is still a high school student and under the age of 18, has been required to close the store alone on multiple occasions. This situation raises significant safety concerns, as evidenced by a police officer's inquiry when noticing two young girls alone at the store late at night.
Privacy and Communication: After a necessary visit to the ER, my child provided a doctor's note as requested. However, it was brought to my attention that the nature of this visit was disclosed to another employee by the manager, who also indicated that my child's hours would be reduced. When my child attempted to discuss this matter, the response was dismissive.
Management Response: I reached out to discuss these concerns, particularly the safety of young employees working alone at night, and was met with an unsatisfactory response.
I believe that Smoothie King values impeccable customer service, and I hope that this extends to the treatment of employees as well. Safety, communication, and trust are essential components of a positive work environment, and I am hopeful that these issues can be addressed promptly.

Food is always a 10/10 but the girl at the window is so upset she has a job to complete , since we started our order she was very rude almost in a hurry while taking our order , other lady there with curly hair was very nice and apologized for the mix up while the other was just plain out rude for no reason . Definitely shouldn’t be who greets or attends customers .

Store hours say 8 am to open on a Saturday mobile app will let you place a order but no staff and building closed

Stopped in here for a evening smoothie. Never again at this location. Guy taking orders in drive thru obviously hates his job. Maybe management should help him out with that. I'll continue to drive over to the Pat Booker location. They have great customer service there.

I never write reviews but every time I come through the drive thru later in the evening no one ever comes over the intercom to take my order. Tonight I was behind another car and they took their order and when I approached the menu I sat there for 10 mins with no response from the staff and then the staff member at the window just looked at me and when I made eye contact they quickly moved out of sight. This is a common occurrence and very poor customer service.

Smoothie was watery and instead of making me a new smoothie the guy just through more ice in it making it an icee have to do better the prices to high this my 3rd complaint pat booker rd #1 have to drive way to different locations

Had the worst experience today at this location. First, they gave my son wrong drink. Second, I get off and I'm watching them finish making my drink. So then I young man that drink looks a little short and he agreed. He then puts it back in the blender, adds ice and blends to fill the cup up. I asked him if if it would taste different due to the fact he just watered my drink down. He stated no. I tried to taste but it was pretty frozen at this point. When I get home, I am able to finally taste smoothie and sure enough, it does indeed taste watered down. I drink it anyway, because I don't want to waste $12. Get half way through drink and it is all ice. Such a disappointment.

We are always told there’s no smoothie bowls when we try to order on the window but if I place my order online they always have it, also on todays order the bowl was smaller and they substituted the mango for bananas
