Very cute and wonderful little bakery, the smells are enough to draw you in but the delicious, chewy, and flavorful focaccia pizza will keep you coming back! Great job!

Love this place. Super cozy and nice. I had one of the cold sandwiches recently and it was really yummy and filling. I always buy a loaf of sourdough for the week and it’s always so good. I also really like the little stickers and art they have to buy in the store.

Nice and cozy place! It is really small but it is still a nice place to grab a cinnomon roll and cookie when im in the area. Reccomend going early in the week/day because they sell out fast!

We decided to try out placing an order for pickup, and we’re so glad we did. We tried the artisan bread and sourdough bagels, jsut to get us started. The order placing system was super straightforward and easy, and day of I was suprised by how much they still had leftover that I could add on! When picking up I ended up adding on pastries, cookies, and a kolache. Everything tasted amazing! The sourdough bread makes the best toast in the morning. Cookies were soft, flavorful, chewy in all the best ways. The pastries (almond knot and brioche sticky bun) were evil, purely because I know we will never be able to go without ordering them again. Ooey, gooey, soft and fluffy! I should have gotten a case of them.
Also, from the second I walked in the shop every single person was so friendly and personable! It’s also smack dab in the cutest part of historic Helotes, with lots of interesting businesses as neighbors. I think this will be a new part of our weekly grocery run!

Friendly staff and they had vegan options for my kid that actually taste amazing! The outdoor seating and atmosphere is very welcoming.

Staff was super friendly and helpful! Pre ordered the pretzels and added queso when we got there!!! It was all so delicious I forgot to take pics! Also picked up a regular sourdough loaf! 10/10 :) will be back to try some sweets next time. Pretty small space so I recommend giving their menu a look and knowing what you want before hand or even pre ordering just to make it quicker!

I've been a Spread the Loaves customer for about a year now and love their bread! I recently tried the apple cinnamon and Sicilian pizza style focaccia. Both were AMAZING. The apple cinnamon was the perfect mixture of sweet apples and crunchy cinnamon bits. The bread had a great texture. The Sicilian pepperoni pizza focaccia was incredible. I loved that there was minimal pizza sauce but a ton of flavor. I can't wait to try their next new bake!
Definitely get there early because they sell out quick.

When I say this sourdough micro bakery is so good I've dreamt about them. Every single thing I have purchased has been amazing. Their original sourdough has a great crust and soft like a cloud inside. The Chocolate Peanut butter sourdough has taken breakfast to a new level. The stuffing sourdough made incredible turkey Breast sandwiches. Plus all the staff is kind, accommodating and personable. Recommend Spreadtheloaves to everyone

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to eat like a king? When I think of royals, I can't imagine that they grab a pack of Mrs. Baird's or Sara Lee. They have to have someone magnificent employed to make them the most decadent loaves of bread, the best of the best.
The odds of us regular folks becoming royals is dreadfully slim, but THE DIVINE experience of cutting into an extraordinary loaf of bread infused with love and flavor is right here in Helotes.
The bakery itself is conveniently located in Old Town Helotes, and it's just adorable. The vibes are immaculate, and there is so much love and care put into each and every corner of that place. The menu changes weekly (with some regular daily specials) and I'm not kidding when I say one of the highlights of my Monday mornings is getting the email sharing the week's menu (sign up for the newsletter, y'all). My family tends to go on Saturdays because I have to have a pretzel and we love seeing what other surprises await us!
If you're looking for some immaculate bread and pastries made by some of the kindest people in town, look no further than Spread the Loaves. I'm so grateful that my girls get to grow up with the memory of going to this sweet little bakery every Saturday to get something delicious to share.

I had the absolute pleasure of being introduced to spread the loaves today. I got several things just to try out and let me tell you, I'll be getting up to go again! The sourdough pretzels are absolutely amazing. My cranberry scone was the perfect texture and flavor. I'm so excited to find a nice local place to support.
