Came in with my family from out of town… I normally frequent this Starbucks during the day since I work in a building around the corner. The lady working the drink station was really rude and when asked for the code for the restroom she hesitated and said they “didn’t have a restroom”. Any other time I’ve visited I’ve used the restroom! The response she provided was really downgrading when she looked at me and was dismissive!

No customer restroom
The ladies working here are exceptional. Their efficiency and attention to detail were impressive, as they crafted our drinks to perfection with remarkable speed and precision. Polite and helpful throughout, they managed the shop with such skill and coordination that it was like watching a well-rehearsed performance. I’m confident they could run the place blindfolded—that’s how in sync they were! Truly, these two deserve recognition and a well-earned pay raise. We visited on Sunday at 11:40 a.m., and their dedication was on full display.

Great crew! So friendly and fast. Clean store. Great location! Walking distance from Riverwalk and hotels near.
The Starbucks coffee shop next to the Empire theatre. The cashier was polite but no smile on her face.
There were not many pastries left in the pastry cabinet. It took quite a while to get my drink.
No restroom to the public in the store. The atmosphere was a bit strange though. There was no chair around the tables. Also, the windows were all covered; not sure why but it looked strange as well.

This was my morning stop while staying at the Holiday Inn across the street, super convenient. As stated by some others, there isn't much in the way of seating, but it's a small store that would only have a handful of spots to begin with. The morning staff were friendly and fast.

I went in for a green tea frappuccino and I noticed all the chairs and tables are still gone. You can’t let covid and homeless ruin your store, I just walk in there and I feel like you dont care anymore and for how much longer.

Nice store, I bought a couple of coffees and they served them very quickly, less than 5 minutes.
I don't know how they don't have chairs and only two tables, but everything was clean, the staff was very friendly and patient as we took the time to decide what to buy.

Ordered 2 VENTI coffees as you see on attached picture. I received coffee in Venti cup; however it was half empty. When I asked them what is that; they said it comes like this.
I have been drinking Starbucks coffee around the world; including all states in US; Vietnam or Japan and I was never served half cup of coffee claming that it comes like this. Terrible service

Starbucks of Downtown San Antonio is a welcoming, and decent location. What really brings it down is lack of cafe seating, which really lowers the “third place” vibe you expect from a Cafe. However, they were fast and efficient in regard to making our ice waters which I appreciate. This is also the only standalone Starbucks in downtown San Antonio. Overall, this is a decent location but the lack of proper Cafe seating that can accommodate brings it down ever so slightly.
Ordered a skinny Matcha Latte but it was sweetened without asking me. Could drink it...

Finding good coffee in San Antonio is a challenge. This Starbucks is conveniently located, within a block of about 6 hotels in the area and offers better coffee than any of the hotels. We had specific requests and the staff accommodated us with a smile. Our blond pour overs coffees were excellent and well worth the walk and wait.
