A very friendly place! Wonderful service!

I remember last year some older guy at the register said they ran out of pumpkin spice- he definitely decided to be discriminatory against me because the customer that a few people ahead of me got one. I waited a long time to finally get to the register to order and get slapped by his egregious behavior.

So I love the vibe at most Starbucks, which is what keeps me coming back. HOWEVER the staff t the La Cantera location at 730 AM was OUTSTANDING!! I was here for almost 3 hours due to a power outage at home, and they were up beat, all smiles, extremely communicative and helpful. They greeted regulars by name and came off as genuinely happy to be here. That type of energy is contagious and made an unpleasant situation somuch better!!

I am a regular/returning customer for the last year since I moved to San Antonio and I wanted to post a review quick about my experience today. There is a partner/barista that works here by the name of Nate. I’ve ordered from him several times (with him even giving me different customizations I can tweak to my drinks during the fall season), he’s been on the bar working like a crazy lad during the holiday season when the store is PACKED and still smiles between each drink order, and always so charismatic.

What I particularly want to write though is today I was having a difficult day and Nate really (LIKE ALWAYS) helped me and gave me hope in the world that people are kind and want to be sweet even to a stranger! Thank you to this store for always being an amazing team, but mainly THANK YOU NATE for being YOU always! Even with my simple hot tea! :)

Marissa is, without a doubt, the nicest, warmest, and most delightful barista I’ve encountered at any Starbucks across the U.S. She’s an absolute gem!

Personnel look overwhelmed with the amount of guests and orders. If I’m visiting this Starbucks during off peak hours, the food and beverages are usually tastier, but if it’s a weekend then forget about friendly and attentive service: two iced beverages were not sweet, but supposed to (and that’s the main Starbucks thing - lots of syrups). Mozzarella sandwich was overcook and the top part was as hard as a rock and absolutely inedible, I also didn’t like that they still dump dirty chili packets right inside the food package and contaminating my food; banana loaf was warmed together (?) with something containing sausage and smelled weird (and also barely had any nut topping).
During the week personnel is friendly and I really like the young ladies working there (the male employee is always mean to them and always make mistake while preparing beverages).
