I can’t express enough how peaceful and wonderful this place was. It felt like finding quiet in the middle of so much noise. Nothing fancy or glittery — just a beautifully traditional, low-light atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease.

Even the staff (I believe the owner) felt truly genuine. No fake smiles, no overtrained “robotic” service — just real welcome. I felt welcomed in the most authentic way. A few families were enjoying their dinners quietly, adding to the calm vibe.

And the food… THIS is what fresh tastes like. The lamb shank was tender on the inside with a perfectly crispy golden layer on the outside. The rice was honestly the best I’ve ever had. That meal alone made my trip to San Antonio worth it.

I sincerely wish you all the best. May you continue to sustain this quality and keep the peaceful charm of your beautiful restaurant forever.

I rarely write reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was deeply upsetting. We visited with our family, including my daughter who has special medical needs and requires 9.5 pH water for her condition. When we brought her own bottle of water, the staff immediately started yelling at us, demanding to know why we brought drinks from outside.

Instead of taking a moment to listen and understand our situation, they continued to raise their voices and behave rudely, right in front of my children. We tried to calmly explain the medical reason, but they showed absolutely no compassion or professionalism. To make things worse, they wanted to charge $4 for their own water, which was just a regular Sam’s Club bottle.

Since our food was already prepared, we begged them to just make it to go so we could leave peacefully.

No family should ever be treated this way, especially when it involves a child’s health. It’s one thing to enforce rules, but it’s another to do so with such hostility and disrespect. We left feeling embarrassed, hurt, and shocked by how we were treated. Treating fellow muslims like this is highly unacceptable. Do better for your ummah

Absolutely love this place. The lamb is a good choice tender and a good portion. Also the Mandi Chicken is good as well. My favorite is the Moussakaa. Everytime I come to San Antonio we eat here.

I had such a great experience at Syrian Kitchen! The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and made me feel right at home. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The place itself was spotless, super clean, cozy, and had a really welcoming atmosphere.

The food was amazing and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the Mandi Chicken. The meat was tender, perfectly seasoned, and the rice was packed with flavor. You can really taste the authentic spices and care that went into every dish.

The ladies are extremely rude.
They want us to buy the sam's club water for $4 and it tastes bad.
EDIT:
Nothing was explained. The ladies, were rude since the beginning.

There is better moroccon food across. Better service
You have absolutely no right to take medicine away from my kids.
They are hypoallergenic and cannot have your overpriced $4 Sam's club water.
We offered to show you medical cards but since your staff has zero customer service skills they mistreated us.
Drinking water is a human necessity.

The bad review explains the experience and it's true. Where was the sorry when your ladies were screaming at us???
Please either educate your staff or get another staff.
Losing $300 a day is not how you manage a restaurant
