I was early for a memorial service around the corner at St. Paul's Episcopal and was looking to kill some time. I found this really great neighborhood taqueria and panaderia in Downtown San Antonio. The Carne Guisada & Al Pastor Tacos were delicious, and I would gladly return to try them again if ever in the area.Vegetarian options: Bean, Potato, Cheese Taco ... you tell me, I'm omnivorous. I've never met a healthy looking vegetarian, but I'm sure they're probably out there.
Do not go during lunch , waitstaff ignores area . Had to ask several times and different waitresses continued to say she’s coming . Tried this place two years ago same issue limited staff to accommodate lunch rush . Tried today … same issue . If you work and have times lunch break … don’t stop here .

Last bite was just as special as the first bite of their corn tortilla breakfast tacos. I can’t get enough of those two tacos I got. I wish I ordered more ?. Their bread with cream cheese is the perfect texture and softness too! I cannot wait to go back.Vegetarian options: Rancheras breakfast tacos
Its just a regular mexican restaurant and they need to improve the cafe if they want

My best friend and I both had the gordita plate de asada. Was very good as usual. Their salsa verde is amazing. Upon checking out, since they have a bakery we always grab some wedding cookies for our families. The cookies are delicious. I even took two dozen to my work and they tore them up in the office. Also neither of us live close by its a mid point meet that we are willing to make since the food is so good.
Not high level dining, but good, authentic, everyday Mexican food. One of the few places that is not TexMex that I have found. Best corn tortillas I've found in San Antonio. They mill their own corn to make the masa.
Love it.. everything
