I have been going to Guero's for about 18 years! I remember when it first opened. It has been consistently excellent food and service! The owner always makes a point of saying hello and the food is always great. It really feels like we are family.

It's called "el chivito" the tacos are excellent, of a good size and well assorted but the tastiest are the sauces, in particular the red one is super spicy and delicious

We went there for breakfast. As I’m not the biggest taco fan, I was a little skeptical. But wow it was outstanding! The food was delicious, and service was spot on. Highly recommended this place! When I return to San Antonio, it is definitely on my places to stop!

Average tacos was particularly disappointed with their red salsa. Usually I look for a good ratio of thickness to spicy but this salsa rojo in particular is neither thick nor spicy.
Esposa has seen this taco truck multiple times on her many treks from Fair Oaks Ranch to the Leon Springs H-E-B. I only recently saw it on my late morning drives to work. It's always--no exaggeration--packed! The clientele are largely from the nearby Silver Fox (a divey little bar) and laborers working nearby. The menu is focused but more than adequate, and features real Mexican offerings. No fakey Tex-Mex offerings here. I got one order each of mini tacos: al pastor for esposa and (carne) asada for yours truly. They come with rice and beans. OMG: this is the real deal. Everything was top notch! Fresh and bursting with flavor. If you're looking for authentic Mexican at budget prices, this is your stop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
