This place is an amazing hole in the wall. I was grabbing lunch with a friend who used to work here, and he recommended we stop here for food. The service was great, its a nice little family owned place and they were fast to make the food and very friendly. I got the lonche, and it honestly blew any other hispanic style sandwich I've had out of the water. I had asked what the difference between a lonche and torta was, and my friend let me know that they use different types of bread! The meat was juicy and tender, the bread was toasted just enough, and the whole meal made me want to order a second round.

Ordered barbacoa tacos and HAD to try the Chicharron with Guacamole.OMG - you have to share it- It's alot of food (chicharron w guac). SO Full- they are fried and crispy and fresh- the guac with onions and tomatoes-FYIWe will be back!

Worse place I have ever gone! All servers just care how much tip you give them. I never got a refill!!! Got my food and it was wrong! Server never asked me if everything was ok. When we asked for the check we paid at the register and she looked if we had tip her. B...... my food was wrong, I wanted red chilaquiles and I even asked her and I got green chilaquiles but worse part no meat on the side. When I asked her I told her I wanted pork on the side. She was so busy answering her phone.

HUGE swing and a MISS! I should have listened to all the other reviews but I wanted to try something new. The photos online are highly deceiving and the chicharrón we received were absolutely disgusting and totally inedible. The waitress isn't rude but not nice either. She wasn't happy when we returned our food and never came back to the table after that. Beans are good tho but nothing to rave about. Not worth coming at all, don't waste your time.

It's a hit or miss. Once in a while the food is delicious and perfectly seasoned, however most of the time it lacks flavor. The food is always over priced. Today I payed over 20 dollars a meal per person(one order of quesabirrias and a drink) , and they won't give you your change back.

Just a heads up if you go to La Unica restaurant.We were a group of 15 people, 9 adults and 6 kids from 3 families.We went to la Unica for brunch, their meals are about $10.00 each, just the adults ordered meals and a drink to go with it, the kids only had breakfast tacos and split drinks.It looks like we had 2 waitresses, as we asked for the check, we found out that there's no splitting bills. One of the waitresses mentioned that our bill was $250.00 dlls. We asked for the full check to see the breakdown of the food and she changed the amount. It actually was $210.00 dlls.I also noticed a charge for $5.99 for using a credit card. I didn't see any signs for it.At the end we got charged the $210.00 but we also got charged $46.00 for tips and $5.99 for credit card use.We paid everything and left. We felt scammed and decided not to go back.One family was visiting from mesquite, the second one came from Kyle and we are from converse.The food was decent, the service was bad.The chicharron/ guacamole was okay.I'm all in for supporting small businesses but not like this. They took advantage of us
