The chicken is just hot…there was entirely too much seasoning for it to be flavorless bruh it tasted like crispy powder. And the tenders don’t come with bread as advertised btw

Called to place an order and got some lady who couldn’t speak English and seemed confused about me wanting to place an order. The conversation was frustrating and did not inspire confidence that they would prepare my food well. Also, is this smashing crab? Or take flight hot chicken? Your employee would like to know the

Chicken tasted like crab- fried in the same oil- too fishy

Ordered from here twice. First time I ordered four pieces of chicken at level 1 spice. We got almost double that and was so hot we couldn’t even eat it. Dark dark red. We ordered again and got 2-3 times more chicken then we asked again. The sides were all wrong. Most of the chicken was absolutely raw and inedible. I’m not going to order from here again - and I’m also not going to eat at Smashing Crab again which is the company who makes this. This is the upsetting part - as we eat at Smashing Crab a few times a month. I’m worried now my family is going to get sick from uncooked seafood. This small chicken side hustle is going to cause big losses on the even bigger seafood chain.

Wow. Just wow. The chicken was absolutely delicious, but that cornbread though! Chefs kiss! We ate well tonight. 10/10 will order again.

Order delivery, it took over 2 hours to get it and according to the delivery app it was the restaurant. Once the food finally got there we were missing items and the food was hard as a rock. We had high hopes for this. The manager Rob did give a gift card to Smashing Crab because we will definitely be ordering Take Flight again. Only gave 2 stars because of the speedy resolution.

Did a pick up order. Got to car checked and everything was wrong. Went back in manager came and said I got the wrong order. I thought he just had to swap but after waiting about 15 minutes and asking I realized he had to actually make the order. Came back with my order no real apology for my time or the inconvenience. Not even a free side .Actual food: ordered a large dark. The chicken were gigantic all I could think of was the steroids and artificial stuff used to make the chicken that big. Seasoning was on point. Cornbread was decent. Did not like the take flight sauce. Wouldn’t order again.

The hot chicken will not disappoint.

I was very impressed with their “Nashville Hot” style fried chicken. The portions were ample, reasonably priced, and the heat of the spice is very customizable. The breading on the chicken was well seasoned and crispy like “homemade” style fried chicken should be. The meat was tender and juicy, not overcooked or dry. I got the cayenne level spice, which I would describe as a mild-medium depending on your sensitivity to spice.) I’ll definitely be trying the hotter spice options next to check it all out! Their mac and cheese was flavorful and creamy, and their cornbread wasn’t crumbly or dry and has a nice subtle sweetness to it. I ordered delivery from GrubHub, and none of the food was soggy or cold when it arrived. (Seemed as warm and fresh as if they’d handed it to me at the restaurant. And bonus points; their to-go containers appear to all be compostable/recyclable!:DI’ll definitely be ordering from here again and would recommend it to others!

Lol yo..... I'm a chilly head I do everything spicy and I've been praying for a hot chicken place. The best hot chicken I've had has been in Houston and then I saw this place pop up so I decided to try it. I have to say I'm not a very humble person but I got their spiciest chicken and I met my match. I'm not even upset It was nice to be humble and the flavor and crispiness of the chicken is unmatched. Thank you for bringing the heat to San Antonio with delicious flavor I will definitely be ordering again. Y'all rock and I hope you stay open so I can buy plenty of hot chicken in the future

Nice little strip cafe - very clean and wonderful wait staff. Our server was very helpful in picking out just what we wanted - a fabulous mussel boil with the most heavenly sauce and corn - we didn't leave a single bite. The boudan bites were tasty as was the cornbread. Some very interesting drink selections - we tried several and all were good. Great prices!
