Green salsa is wonderful, though very mild! We had the barbacoa plate, which came with potatoes, refried beans, and eggs—prepared just the way you like. I opted for the bean and cheese tacos, and the soft, yummy tortillas were a delight—you can even buy them by the dozen, with barbacoa available by the pound. Although the service was okay, the ambiance could use a bit more character to elevate the overall dining experience.

First time been there..... only a mile from my location for months thinking I'll try it but to my disappointment it was not very likeable. Young lady didn't offer a welcome or any greeting only one couple leaving upon entering Took a seat with my daughter having skip meals to be dining tonight rather hungry. Ordered two drinks and had to repeat orders. Order one was wrong. My daughter had specifically ordered two beef fajitas with bell pepper only. That was wrong. And asked if I'd like to order it again without onions???!!? I was remarking that it was wrong and yes I stated. Another thing please serve fresh chips not served with salsa as I was to guess why.. and asked for an explanation but as the salsa bottles were delivered but no bowl and given a small container upon requesting it. Had to ask for my lemons again. Was brought limes and not told they only had limes. The final blow was mid way eating the female had over poured fragrance cleaner so badly it shot out of the restroom like a nuclear bomb. Not kidding. It was so strong I got up from being in the area and it made me sick. I did tell her that was way too much and ruined my stay. Mentioned it was my first visit and likely my last. She apologized but wanted to say it was over kill and have some common sense or something like that. I haven't been trying to comment on these things but I figured my money is my time and it's not good to throw money out the door. 😞

Place well kept food was delicious and customer service super
The service here was terrible. We had to ask over and over for the correct kind of tea and get up to get our own refills. The food was mediocre and the menudo made my brother sick. I only came here on the recommendation of a food reviewer on Instagram and quickly regretted that decision.

Visiting San Antonio once again and trying to find the best places for good Mexican food and this restaurant Tamalitos hit the spot had the red pozole And a taco with red Chilaquiles very good go try it out.

Saw this on Google. Looks clean. Very small place. They have a good food presentation . We tried the beef nachos they were very good. Enchilada plate was good as well. Tried a Pork tamale it was ok. Tortillas were ok but , hard & dry on the edges. Service was good. Prices are average. Will it again try if in the area, but I wouldn’t drive miles to get here.
Had the pork tamales, only had one and left the rest. There was a peculiar and unfamiliar taste that was not enjoyable. The menudo was not a hit either ; the broth was bland and the tripe was chewy and not at all tender. The corn tortillas were nice and fresh. The Barbacoa was nice and meaty and seasoned well.

I really wanted to experience the customer service and atmosphere of this restaurant that many have talked about. I was hoping to get seated and enjoy some tamale and gravy. After spending almost 45 minutes for my food, it was too late to dine in, so I had my food ready to go. I'm not to happy about eating on the road and especially when you open the container and realize the order was wrong. At this point, I was so upset that I couldn't eat. I won't be going back to this restaurant.
