This place used to be delicious but it was absolutely disgusting. I normally get Tikka Masala, with chicken, medium spicy, and garlic naan. The tikka masala was very sweet for some reason and zero spice. The garlic naan was so gross with literal garlic smooshed all over it. I was better off walking across the parking lot to Trader Joe’s and getting something from there

Delicious and friendly service! Definitely a great place for a quick and delicious lunch. There’s always plenty of food—I always have leftovers for later when I go to Tarka!

Their biryani, samosa chaat and malai kofta is hands down one of the best in town. I believe the portion size has been reduced a little compared to what they used to give earlier, but nevertheless good value for money. And most importantly very consistent in their food taste!

Never tried Indian food before so my son and i stopped in. We both got Tikka chicken Marsala. Both of us thought it was very good. Not my usual your of food but i was happily surprised. The naan bread was excellent. I can easily recommend this place.

Review based on takeaway only; a family member ate at a Tarka in Austin, and decided to get some to go on a visit from the resto in San Antonio. I love Indian cuisine, and the Chicken Tikka Masala (med spicy) was divine! Succulent chicken, nuanced spices, and excellent garlic naan and basmati rice. Will look for an opportunity to go for an in-restaurant experience.

As others have stated it is definitely not super authentic indian food. The food tasted fine but honestly that naan needs a lot of help. I was super stoned so it tasted fine but im sure if i wasnt id probably be a bit disappointed.

The quality of the food Tarka off 1604 serves is noticeably changing. The chicken is dry, and the chicken cuts aren’t great. This was the first time I had a chicken korma bowl that didn’t feel worth the price paid.

Clean area and friendly staff. A modern, Americanized take on Indian cuisine while maintaining cultural continuity.

We used to eat at their Round Rock location, and it was always amazing! We never had a bad meal. We always have enough for another meal with leftovers. Excellent. Highly recommend.
