We came for the 2nd time. Wasn’t the best sadly. Service is good. The place is nice. But we were sat right next to full tables and it was so noisy as there were other tables we could have had. But anywho…
Anyway the dim sum was okay.
We ordered shumai, meatballs, bbq buns, corn bread and fried bun. They were all okay. Nothing special.
We ordered lo mein, fried noodle seafood(barely any flavor) and orange chicken (meat too thick and makes it dry tasting).
The flavors were bland to us. They tasted okay but nothing special. I can honestly say the Golden Wok on Wurbach is very favorable when I’m comparing. There was no wow factor but it was all edible. The corn bread was the prettiest thing though! :)

Dim Sum can be hard to find in San Antonio. Modern Asian does a great job on dim sum with quick service serving tasty food! Loved the soup dumplings and the sticky rice in lotus leaf is always a winner. I wanted to include more photos but my party devoured the food before I could get to my camera. Highly rated!

5/5 every time we come. Tried the salt and pepper lobster $35 for a whole live lobster and as you can see it’s didn’t stand a chance. Great service and great food.

Dim sum was very, very good. I am from Seattle and have eaten a lot of dim sum in my life and this was right up there. Kaylin and all the staff were amazing, attentive and friendly.

Amazing selection of really good food. Great for dim sum, or a selection of entrees served family style. Mix of very traditional Chinese and original recipes. One of my favorite new restaurants!

When you walk in the floors are sticky. I think that says alot about the quality of a restaurant. We order an appetizer and drinks for 4 guest. After our appetizer we place our meal order. I'm waiting to catch the waitress to tell her of my food allergy just to be safe. She never makes her way back to us. My plate comes and it's loaded with mushrooms!! Nowhere on the menu does it list that particular entree with mushrooms. The person that brings the food is not the waitress but fortunately I'm kinda able to communicate my allergy. Still our waitress is MIA?? The 2nd meal comes out then the 3rd. Finally another waiter stops by and I let him know the issue with my plate. He assures me he's corrected it. We're still waiting on the 3rd entree and I my plate comes out...still waiting on plate #3. Finally after 25+ minutes our waitress comes by we let her know what has happened while she's been gone. We're still waiting on plate #3 she reminds us it's chicken and they want to make sure it's fully cooked. Keep in mind we currently have 2 chicken plates and a flounder at the table. We remind the person who has been bring the food out that we're still missing a egg drop soup. So now we're at about 40 after the appetizer and the soup finally comes out!! We has the lady for refills and finally our waitress comes to the table. The whole dinner was unnecessarily a chaotic mess. This amazing spanish (only) speaking woman is bringing our food out and not even our waitress was doing everything she could to make our visit pleasant. It was literally the end of the meal and we finally catch our waitress to get refills. Definitely not worth the stress, time, or money that it takes to dine here. The stress of going here took like 2 days to get over.

The exterior is a little bright with the changing light colors, but the interior is very nice with most tables/booths sitting 6. Our service was very good and very fast.
We had some dim sum, pork belly, soup, and peking duck. Overall, the food was just slightly above average.
The soup, some of the dim sum, and the peking duck all needed salt- the duck was relatively flavorless but beautifully presented.
The pork belly had a nice crispy crust (almost hard) but was served just slightly warm which seemed odd to us. It was tasty though.
This would be a fun place, especially with a small group- but there's better Sichuan and dim sum elsewhere unfortunately.

Another great visit here! Sunshine had amazing reccomendations (chinese broccoli sautéed with garlic - so tender and savory)!

Sunshine was attentive and available to us during our dinner and was soooooo so friendly 🩷

The egg tarts are a must have and my personal favorite.
