Food was well seasoned but nothing special. I wanted the Chile relleno but they were out. I got the Big Teka plate. Just didn't do anything special for me. Give them a try. Big portions. It's a great value as far as price for what you get. Staff were friendly. Place is very clean and well maintained.

This place is a hole on the wall but it is very good. They run lunch specials and the give u a pan dulce with your food. The tortillas are handmade both flour and corn. You order at the register and they have chips and all kinds of different salsas. The sad part for me is the Pepsi products, we would go more often if they carry Coke products. They have a bakery inside ... fyi

Ordered potatoe and egg taco and chorizo and egg taco. Both were really small for $3. Probably won't order tacos here again.
Really good.great beans.the cups are great.guacamole especially.the puffy tacos are some of the best in town. And been around forever.consistently good.worth the price.
Stopped by because I remember trying this place YEARS ago and was in the area. I got the #20 with puffy tacos and two tamales on the side. The food was delicious! The puffy tacos were flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly juicy. A little greasy from the fried cheese taco, but the flavor was great! I wish the salsa was a little spicier but overall it was a great stop and somewhere I will return to! There was no wait to order and the food was out within 10-15 minutes.

Guacamole cups are fantastic. Puffy tacos can’t be beat. Been eating here since 1975 and although the restaurant has changed hands over the years, original quality remains!
Sat here for five minutes and no one came over. Got up and left. A couple people looked at me though. Heard the food was good but I wouldn't know.

5/5, one of the best Tex-Mex places in San Antonio. Can get busy, parking is rough.. been coming here for generation of family members. Still great. Negative reviewers are those who think Taco Cabana and Las Palapas are good options lol.
