Thieves. Money and pain meds stolen. We were there for a military graduation. Up early and in late. We made the mistake of leaving the credit card (hidden) in a suitcase and meds at the bedside. The credit card charges didn’t come through until after a couple days of checking out. I thought it was weird I was missing meds but didn’t think much of it at the time since we were so rushed in the morning and dead tired by evening and had enough meds to get me through the trip. Things didn’t start to make sense until we saw the charges on the credit card. We called the hotel to alert them of a possible theft on staff. The manager on duty said she would ask the staff and call us back. I’m not sure what good that would do. We disputed the charges with the credit card company already.
If it wasn’t for this incident, I would rave about the hotel. It was overall clean and the location was great. The staff were nice and friendly. If the nightly price was right, I would possibly stay here again but keep my things closer to me next time.

We checked in with Martha. Martha was super friendly, and that made the checkin experience nice. We had a 2nd floor room overlooking the riverwalk, which was pretty cool. The room had a nostalgic feel to it and was relaxing. The shower pressure was great. The plus with this hotel is that they offer a free breakfast daily. They also offer what they call a 5:30 kickback, which is basically free food for dinner. One one night, they offered bbq pulled pork sliders, mac n cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw. on another night, they offered grilled chicken strips, pasta with Alfredo sauce, baked potatoes, and mixed veggies. On the following day, they offered beef tacos, corn, and black beans. They also have hot dogs available daily. As an added bonus, each guest receives three free cocktails daily. The drinks are not strong but, what do you expect for free. The cocktail line gets long fast, so get there early or get your food first while the line dies down. When you wish to head to the riverwalk, you can take the elevator down to the RW level, and you can walk right out to the riverwalk. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this place.
Rooms: Our room was nice and clean. The shower had plenty of shampoo, body wash, and conditioner to last us during our stay. The showere pressure was great as well.
Walkability: We flew in from Chicago. We opted not to rent a car since we would be mostly in the riverwalk/downtown area. We took an uber to and from the hotel/Airport. That was a good call and saved on daily parking fees. Everything is nearby and easy to get to on foot.

Very nice location. On the Riverwalk. Near the Saga showing. Easy walk to Alamo in one direction and the Historic Market Square in the other direction. Nice amenities… breakfast better than average for hotel…. evening refreshments could be entire meal… good BBQ sliders and mac & cheese one night, fresh salad & nachos both nights, coupons for beverages… soft drinks and popcorn in the afternoon. Our room was a suite… could spread out more. I enjoyed the balcony more than I thought I would. Over the river would need to look down, but could see the church where the Saga is shown, but never was in the room at that time to see it. Rooms are not beautiful in my opinion… dark as others have said. I like the local pictures they chose to decorate with. What really stood out to me is seeing the management working… moping up coffee… refilling food… cleaning up after service. You don’t see that everywhere… and that shows plenty of pride in their hotel. When I spoke with 3 of them, you could see they loved their jobs and they loved the company. Very nice!!!

We have been converted from choice hotels. I highly recommend staying at a Drury hotel when available

Ok. Very enjoyable stay. I am giving 4 stars mostly because the hotel is a little older and (in my opinion) due for an update. It appeared many of the hotels in the area either need or are actively undergoing renovation though. The size of the room was nice and large. They have a wonderful breakfast and a decent dinner. We easily could have stayed and not purchased any food. They allow up to 3 free drinks during their evening service. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Location is excellent. The only other thing I can think of is when we walked into the room thinking it was very dark. This is probably what caught me. The rooms could be brighter.

This hotel was fantastic! From the exceptionally kind staff (from housekeeping, to front desk, to manager) to the wonderfully renovated old building, to the food options daily. We booked a room with a terrace and I highly recommend this as you’re literally overlooking the water. So worth the extra money. Love, love, loved it!
Parking is very snug. Bring your smallest car if you want to not have a panic attack trying to get into the garage (which is also spectacularly priced at under $25 a night with incredibly easy access to the hotel).
Walkability: Exceptionally walkable with direct riverwalk access and downtown access. Awesome location!!!

This place is phenomenal! Absolutely everything about this inn was incredible, the location, the place itself, the service, everything I experienced was amazing. Every worker encounter with an employee was pleasant, they were all friendly with smiles all around. Chris at the front desk welcomed my brother and I with an upgraded room and surprisingly gave us a voucher to 3 free drinks for 3 separate occasions. What a nice surprise. They also serve free breakfast AND free dinner, I’ve never heard of this but that was a plus for our wallets and stomachs. The room was very large, had a kitchen and a little living room with desk and a large balcony with such nice view of the Riverwalk. The pool and jacuzzi is in the roof which was very enjoyable, and they have a fitness room we didn’t experience but is still very great to have. They also have parking. This place is very worthwhile and we will be staying here on our next visit. Thank you all!
Rooms: Very clean and spacious
Nearby activities: Riverwalk is walking distance with many restaurants, banks, liquors and all kinds of other attractions
Safety: Great location, front desk open 24/7 with a security guard patrolling
Walkability: Right in the heart of downtown, with a staircase that leads to the Riverwalk
Food and drinks: Can’t beat free food and drinks!!
Free breakfast, dinner, soda machine, popcorn machine, and a bar

My first time at a Drury Hotel. Had two people recommend and am so glad they did, awesome! Traveling across country and this stop was definitely a highlight of the trip. Directly on the Riverwalk and easy walk to The Alamo as well as the Historic Market Square. Great view, comfortable and clean rooms, great customer service, and top notch guest perks offered! Breakfast, three free drinks and evening food offerings were above and beyond! Stay here!

Great location! We happened to stay here while Fiesta was going on. I did not know what that was at first, but it is so cool! I had a view right outside of my hotel room. The parking garage was also great, and safe. The happy hour was also a great bonus. I had an Amazon package delivered here no problem.

First time staying at a Drury Inn, and it was a wonderful experience. Stayed on the fifth floor, and the vaulted ceiling made the room feel much more spacious. There was some noise from the Riverwalk and N St Mary Street traffic, but that was to be expected being in that location.
Inelaida was the manager on shift during one of the nights we stayed there, and she really made our stay feel very warm like we were staying for a reunion with good friends. The hotel staff in general were very warm and hospitable, especially those working around the dining area.
There was a security guard directing traffic into their parking ramp, and one who made rounds into the rooftop pool. Felt very secure being at the Drury Inn.
So many perks included in the stay, including breakfast, parking, and the 5:30p Kickback Hour with warm food and drinks. My family and I, including two kids under 10y, really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely consider staying here again should our travels bring us back to the Riverwalk, and will consider other Drury Inn locations in our travels.
