We checked in with Martha. Martha was super friendly, and that made the checkin experience nice. We had a 2nd floor room overlooking the riverwalk, which was pretty cool. The room had a nostalgic feel to it and was relaxing. The shower pressure was great. The plus with this hotel is that they offer a free breakfast daily. They also offer what they call a 5:30 kickback, which is basically free food for dinner. One one night, they offered bbq pulled pork sliders, mac n cheese,...
Very nice location. On the Riverwalk. Near the Saga showing. Easy walk to Alamo in one direction and the Historic Market Square in the other direction. Nice amenities… breakfast better than average for hotel…. evening refreshments could be entire meal… good BBQ sliders and mac & cheese one night, fresh salad & nachos both nights, coupons for beverages… soft drinks and popcorn in the afternoon. Our room was a suite… could spread out more. I enjoyed the balcony...
Ok. Very enjoyable stay. I am giving 4 stars mostly because the hotel is a little older and (in my opinion) due for an update. It appeared many of the hotels in the area either need or are actively undergoing renovation though. The size of the room was nice and large. They have a wonderful breakfast and a decent dinner. We easily could have stayed and not purchased any food. They allow up to 3 free drinks during their evening service. Overall, we would definitely stay here again....
